    Traction off + 4HI feels much safer on cornering and uphill starts. Traction doesn't freak out on you cutting your engine power down.

    Not sure how i missed this bump a couple days ago...but this would have been a good refresher about 10hrs ago. Went up to Mt Hood and shifted to 4hi and got the flashing light..never seen that before. Well it was the answer to why 4wd wasn't working.

    So here is one of my n00b questions. In 4HI what's an acceptable speed to travel? I know to turn the dial under 62MPH and in cold weather (I think it was 5°F they said) under 55MPH (from the University of YouTube). Also I see the manual says I should drive in it for 10 miles every month to keep things lubricated. Thanks in advance for replies!

    OK. I should qualify. I'm the right lane guy who sets the cruise control for the speed limit and listens to A.M. radio. I just never knew what if there was a limit or what have you. As luck would have it we're looking at snow for the first time tonight. Though, it shouldn't stick around.

    It won’t go past fourth gear in 4L So redline in fourth gear LOL probably only 20 to 30 miles an hour. If you’re gone that fast you should be in 4H. I probably go no faster than 20 in 4L

    on an ‘18 Tundra, pressing the trac button ONCE while in 2wd, dash displays “auto lsd”

    sorry for the likely silly question, but what the heck does auto limited slip differential do? Just “lock” the rear tires (like posi trac)?
