I feel like they are all coming from the same place. I've seen like 3-4 dealer names and they are all the same one. Looks good! I still gotta do mine, waiting for some warm weather.

Also installed my leather wheel today. Feels much better than the stock wheel. Itching to get this thing back out.

To y'all who have color matched and grill swapped... What's a chrome hood bulge worth?

Not much.... most offer them for free to local folks or for like 20. Really isn't worth trying to ship them. They are pretty common and most folks aren't looking for the chrome anyways, just the reality of chrome parts.

Probably come off a jerk if I offer this guy $20, local guy asking $250 for a platinum grill and bulge and I wanna make an offer on just the bulge.

    :notsure:

If he doesn't bite, make a post for WTB and offer $20 for a bulge. Im sure someone local has something in storage or you can call some pick and pull places and see what they have.

I got a spare grille, surround, bulge from local folks and we just met up. I gave either beer or $20 depending on their preference but it was not hard to find.

I got rid of a squeaking squirrel cage seen here, with the new TLC version...super easy project.

I relocated the factory rear camera with a super ghetto version:

I've got an 813 Fab bracket on the way: https://813fabrication.com/products...4OQoLJtU3y9EHUt5dyWeN17i6oWN9FvJe1F4BFCgYEJoU

Can't use it as it was intended as the canopy is in the way:

So, it'll go on the RIGD swing out.

Easy enough to pull the camera and harness from the tailgate and extended the loom with this:

Thanks @sea_weathered for the idea and link to the wiring. No need to spend +$225 for a new camera when the wire and bracket are less than $100 all said and done.

This is exactly what I've been needing to do, I didn't even know the cam could be taken off the handle. Thanks for this, gonna look into a bit deeper.

You have to paint that button black - it’s hurting my ocd. It’s the only thing that’s kept me from painting the gray on my steering wheel - but I’ve been leaning towards having a non-illuminated volume.

Thanks! The idea is to build something DIY cheap without affecting quality. I like the OEM look the Ford upfitter switch has. I got the 10 relays box as a kit on Amazon. It comes with all relays, fuses, and terminals. I did the wiring. You can also find the relay box assembled but I saw some bad reviews about the wiring. That's why I got the kit instead. The only unique thing here is the 3D printed mount I did to install the switch in the head console. It has clips no bolts to hold the switch and for the install in the head console. As soon as I have everything set I will upload a video with all the details in my YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/diyTundraMods ) and provide more info here too . For the 3D printed mount I am considering to share the file at no cost for those who have a 3D printer. For those who wants it printed, I can print and ship it but first I need to make some minor changes and see what will be the cost to print it (should be cheap :)). The harness is something that can be a DIY thing but I can also do it for anyone interested on it. Here are more photos and updates:

Today I installed the relay box over the factory fuse box and this is how it looks:

Loaded up and headed out. The plan is to drive straight through from Glendale to Bombay Beach without stopping. 262 miles shouldn't be an issue. Have a great morning y'all, I know I'm gonna.

I've never been there, but isn't that Saltan lake or 'sea' that sits a few hundred feet below sea level and is located s/of palm springs about 1/2 way to Mexico??

Grab some pics as I'm curious of what that place looks like...

Anything particular or interesting about that place in contrast to other 'lakes'???

    PS>> Have fun!!

It is. I'm working on a lil documentary about abandoned places across America. I've never been either so I can't say anything particular but it has a very rich history and that is what I'm interested in.
Definitely gonna get some pics and video and hopefully talk to a few locals.

That's awesome... I did some training about 18 years ago in southern CA and was bouncing around the palm desert, cherry valley, san bernadino and riverside areas for about a year...

I heard about that place, but never took the time to check it out...

Looking forward to seeing some pics and hearing about it

PS>>> If you get board and would like an interesting perspective of the Palm Desert area (especially at night), I'd suggest driving about an hour to the N/E and book a tram ride on the Palm Springs Tram. Do it just past sunset, and you'll get some incredible views of Palm Springs and Cathedral City from the top!!! It's a bit chilly at the top in the winter, so bring a jacket :D

It's my understanding that they do require reservations now, so you'll want to book online or by phone before you drive out.

Replaced the front brakes last night. Advics rotors and akebono pads. At 48,933 right now. Still plenty of pad life left but have been chasing the vibration issue ranging between 50-70mph. Currently running the Falken wildpeak at4w. Shop forced balanced and rechecked and shows all green. They notice the passenger's front when rotating the wheel, while on the lift, it has a small catch. He think it is the rotor catching, small but it is catching some.
So far after the front brake job. The vibration has diminished, so far. Need to do more driving to verify issue cured.

    I sure did.
Wire brushed it as much as possible to get the rust off. Same with caliper's inner corner where the pads slide in.
Hoping i did a clean enough job that no more issue in future.

I read up on the akebono pads and it said no bedding required. So i didnt bed it in. Just to take it easy for the next couple hundred miles.
