I got a new Tundra Limited and am looking for info on tow mirrors. It has both BSM and PVM and I don’t really care if I have either.
Is there’s way to disable the PVM?
I contacted the dealership parts department and they had no OEM mirrors and also no clue.
    TIA for any good info!

If you want the OEM Tow Mirrors, expect to spend north of $4,000 for them. Each door harness has to be swapped and for the door harness to come out, the door has to be removed from the vehicle.

Also, please use the search function.

Only 10 pages of results! I sure hope people keep asking the same questions over and over it makes it so easy to find stuff in the future!!!!

Welcome to the forum!! Enjoy your new ride.

BTW, OEM tow mirrors are not practical for most folks.

    Thanks TexasCabledawg!
    I was just
    Looking for info.
I’ve seen lots of videos on the subject and agree the price point for OEM is ridiculous. Kinda sad that Toyota has completely overlooked or ignored this need.
There are aftermarket versions of tow mirrors that are more reasonable.

What need did they ignore? There is a factory tow mirror option. If that was an important feature, you could have located a truck that had them and purchased it instead.

There needs to be a required reading of certain threads before new members can post. This is two or three from yesterday that didn't need their own new thread.

I definitely get it. It’s not like my ‘18 where it cost me $400 and about 45 minutes of my time to install OEM tow mirrors. It is not a common option in the gen 3s, so it’s a little more difficult to drive down to the lot to purchase the exact truck you want with tow mirrors.

    OMG!
    Some of you are angry.
Here’s a thought; if you don’t like a post or question, SKIP IT.
I’m sure I didn’t ask for your negativity.
Obviously, I’ve come to the wrong place for useful information.

    Not angry.

Use the resource known as the Search function before posting a thread about something that has been discussed ad nauseam.

I had a pair for my -13 Tundra. Had issues with fit and they only give you a few inches more.
I’m looking at FP+ power fold but first I have to see if I can disable the PVM function (My original question).
    Thanks for the info!

Isn’t there a button to turn PVM off?

I have these. I've been towing my 28' travel trailer with them for over a year now. Honestly, they are fantastic. They're nearly as good as the fold down mirrors I had on my old Ram. Can't recommend them enough.

Welcome to the boards and yes you did stumble on the right message boards for your new Tundra, I guess the obvious way around is the search tool it does work and it will save you time in the future.

Congrats on your new wheels and welcome from MA.

Got these as a Christmas present, haven't tried them on yet but a great option for those towing.
Here's a thought, if you don't like the reply, SKIP IT. You came to a forum on the internet, you asked a question that has been asked and answered dozens of times without searching. Don't know of any forum where you're not going to get a few sarcastic remarks, again, welcome to the internet. Here's some reading material for you.
