    When I lived in Japan, there were no Tundras anywhere. Lots of Hiluxes, Surfs and other models. I drove a Hilux. I’d rather have one of those than a Taco.

    IIRC the 2UZ-FE engine was made in Japan up until the Huntsville, AL plant came online to make them which was mid-2002? Anyway my engine was imported since my truck was made in Feb 2002.

    Maybe in North America, but not always the case elsewhere in the world. Diesels were also common in 100 series in certain markets.
