It is a habit of saving the money each month in advance of the purchase - a sinking fund - so that you avoid the interest charges and gain the interest on savings. First time is hard but after that it works well.

Yeah, I do that too by investing. Once I have the money, I can't get myself to pull it out , especially when it's compounding and rate of return is nearly 12%. I got the loan for the Tundra back then at 5.25%

Yes I prefer used but the 2nd Gen and 2.5 Gen Tundras have always held value really well. I actually prefer 2 or 3 year lease returns which is how I bought my Lexus. The Covid resulting massive price increases have been discouraging and have increased used car prices. I hope not to have to buy another one for a few years.

I bought my sport bike new in 2022, although it was a left over 2021 so I think I got a good deal. But my cars/trucks im going to let someone else take that first couple year depreciation hit.

Sport bikes...haha It was fun racing Ari Henning and Co. back in 2012-2013. One of the best hobbies I ever picked up. Oh man, memories!

I wonder what it's like now. It feels like it's a dying hobby in the U.S. Especially considering the high-prices of bikes/parts and lack of contingency programs.

Nice! Not all of us can afford to! I bought mine when interest rates were substantially lower than the rate of return on my investments. Paying it off with cash would have been a dumb decision then.
Alas, it's been paid off since 2019. I decided to turn a 36-month loan into a 17 month loan.

Installed the Eagle Nav head unit linked by @Shanet421 below. Sounds better and retained all factory settings for SWC.

    Looks great!

How is the seam where it meets the HVAC controls?

Mine seems to have some misalignment issue I can’t figure out. It’s like the HVAC panel is more convex then the radio screen if that makes sense.

At first I felt like mine was convex as well. However, After I pushed all the tabs on the hvac controls and the dash panel back into place everything looks like oem fitment. Thanks again for another great recommendation.

Thanks for the recommendation. I do have some speakers on the short list. I'm looking at some JL audios from crutchfield and a passive sub.

I could save a few bucks on a different brand but if I'm going to upgrade, I figure why not go with some of the best right? Will also add some sound deadening material to the doors at that point as well.

Life's been busy, haven't been very active on here lately.
Actually sold the 07 a few months ago. It was a great truck, purchased used with 130k miles on it & sold it with 180k. It was still running great. Hated to sell but we had picked up a 2019 Crewmax with 30k miles. Just didn't need the 07 any longer. Actually got more than we paid for it .

I put on some running boards/nerf bars. Go rhino dominator xtreme dss. Not true rock rails. Seem pretty beefy.

I had to enlarge a bracket bolt hole and it is missing a bolt from the top deck. Nothing major, but annoying nonetheless on a pricey new item.

Haven't done the work yet, but I ordered an HVAC blend door actuator motor since mine had been on its way out for over a year and finally gave up the ghost.
