Some people definitely “arrive” early and some people stay late, some people come and go as the please…..

I’m not bold enough to leave Sunday; I’d need some xylazene and someone else driving to be that bold…..

 

I’ll be there - but if I’m in the first gen something’s gone wrong.

 

Wednesday-Saturday has been good to me.

 

That first day back always sucks!

 

We're going to Italy the week before so we won't make it this year. I'll be back at some point.

 

Dang maybe I should drive down from Washington. I do like Arizona, truck could use an alignment though.

 

Deception Pass is one of my all-time favorite spots. Used to enjoy visiting my friend when he lived in Oak Harbor.

Anyone going from the El Paso,TX area?

 

That spot is pretty sweet, I’ve gone hiking down there and walked across the bridge. It’s starting to warm up here, breaching 50 degrees. We’re still getting powder days too

 

2780 miles total.

I'll be staying at The Hotel at Sunland Park Casino in El Paso Sunday the 27th, on my way back to Houston.

Is it like the cinders, where you can camp pretty much anywhere?

 

Yes, there are big trees in the area.



National Forest lets you camp anywhere within for free for 14 days before you have to move to a new spot.

@KevinK will let us know if we have any restrictions - usually you’re supposed to camp at least 100 yards from a watering hole and drive primarily on established trails.

 

You can hike into the woods and tent camp anywhere. vehicles normally have to stay near the "approved" forest roads

 

So no camping by the truck like 2023?

 

Well for those of us who will be camping with our RTTs that could be very bad. Though I am guessing we will be fine.
