Hello to all. I just bought a 2020 Tundra SR5 and my headlight went out. All the YouTube videos that I have seen say that I have to take off the grill and remove the assembly just to replace the bulb, is that true?

    Thank you all,
    Cesar

Yes. There isn't any room to get in there with them installed.

    Welcome to the forum..

The manual says to go through the fender liner, which is impossible.

After a few times, you can pull and install the headlights in under 20 minutes or less.
    Been there and done that..

    It says Gen3 but ti's a 2.5.
You might as well replace both bulbs while you're in there.

It’s only a few 10mm screws and 2 body clips holding the grill on. Once you remove those off the top, disconnect the precollision sensor plug. Then lift up and out. Takes 2 mins.

As already said, it’s super easy to pull the headlight assemblies and you should do both while you have the grill off. Or as 1lowlife suggested, throw on some 2018+ LEDs with the ihacker harness and call it a day.

Thank you for all the help guys. I will tackle this project and hope I don't get frustrated. I wish I could afford the LED's but for now I will have to stick with the regular light bulbs and to be honest I think changing to LED's looks like it's way out of my skill level.

I really appreciate all the support.

If I can do it, I'm sure you can also. Get the wiring harness and lights, Dissasmble grille and remove old light, plug in wiring harness and plug into correct fuse for DRLs, reassemble. Good videos on youtube if you decide to do it! Good luck!

Like @mfelton18 stated if you can pull the headlights, you can swap the halogen headlights for OEM LED.

Hope you get it worked out..
