Thx @Shifty...yeah, i tried to reset and drive 20 several times, as well as a hard reset of battery connection and then reset per owners manual few months after new tires, w/no success.
Are you saying its required again if new sensors werent cloned?

Finally got around to replacing both beat-to-hell, non functioning bell cranks.

Will be interested to hear your feedback on the Dorman part. I've generally seen good feedback from members who've used the Dorman parts for the e-Brake cable assembly overhaul, so I'm assuming the bell crank parts will be solid too.

Seems to be solidly built so far, we'll see how they hold up. A common occurrence that I've seen others mention on these Dorman's and that I also had to do, was file down the inside of the bell crank housing to give enough clearance for the nylon washers to fit in either side. If it weren't for that--assembling the bell crank itself shouldn't take too long (probably made it 3x as long for me to do because of that). I'll still need to make adjustments to make sure the ebrake line and locking nut etc, are all adjusted correctly. but that will have to wait until I replace the cylinders.

Regarding Fox, I can say whatever my 2023 TRD Pro 4Runner came with (I think Fox 2.0) is out of this world comfortable.

    Thanks

Yep, thats on me for dropping it off without grabbing your recommended specs first. $145 pretty much down the drain. I'll head back over and will ask for some kind of discount to get the numbers more where they should be. My guess is they just got them to within normal range for the truck model, without worrying about lift and tires. Oh well, live and learn.

I actually found my alignment specs when I had the lift and wheels installed, which I did go with your specs. That was about 4 years ago now though, but still surprised it moved so much out of spec. Might need to make an alignment a bi-annual thing.

Some shops will do a touch up if you bring the vehicle back with a complaint.

In your case, that type of complaint may be that, "with the larger tires and lift, the vehicle steering feels lazy on the road at highway speeds, and the offroad guys in my group told me it's normal if you don't get the caster high enough after the mods I've made; after looking at my numbers, here's what they gave me to correct the issue, can you guys touch up the alignment to get me here?"

I used the Dorman bellcrank kit when I did mine, probably been 10k miles without issue. Was generally pleased with the quality, liked the quality of the rubber boots. Didn’t need to do any massaging/filing/customizing to get it to fit.

Haven’t had parking brake functionality in a month or so since I snapped the cable, but they worked great before.

I’m over the M/T tires I have. Loud and uncomfortable. Scored these used Toyos for a great deal. Can’t wait to get them mounted next week.

Ordered all the parts for the valve cover job today from Serra of Birmingham. Decided to just inspect the spark plugs and coils when I remove them, and order Denso's from RA for any that need replacing.

Also took advantage of the weather and cleaned off all the winter grime.
What is everyone's preferred wax and polish? Admittedly I've never waxed a car before and found some rock chips on the hood I'd like to stop from becoming a concern. Trying to keep the truck in the best shape I can. My Leer looks like its molting on the roof. This all happened over the last 3 years:
    IMG_3780.jpg IMG_3779.jpg
Started as 1 spot that just grew and grew when I moved to the new house. Sun/window reflections roasts the truck through the summer. Maybe I'll repaint some day.

I use Adam's Graphene liquid wax with lots of success. That said, you'd have better results if you clay bar'd your paint first, even with the peeling clear. Removing the contaminants and oxidants will have a big effect. I summarized the whole process here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/let...a-in-scenic-places.141262/page-7#post-3768435

I did this to my truck and had awesome results. I've also filled in tons of rock chips, and even repainted certain spots on my truck, just with aerosol cans that can be purchased (relatively) inexpensively. Quite a lot of paint work, actually. It's all in my refresh thread, see the "Paint/Cosmetic" links in the first post: https://www.tundras.com/threads/2000-limited-trd-refresh-repair-story.116395/

Clearcoat failed. You'll never get the peeled spots shiny again. Refinish is pretty much your only option.

I finished with the $95 headlamp/side marker lamp assembly installation. The fitment was pretty shitty, but it was expected considering the price. Before my installation I did the LED projector upgrade and also went around all headlamp seams with some clear waterproof caulking to hopefully prevent condensation.

We'll see how it holds up long term.

And thanks to shify for the yellow fogs.

Its been a minute, but wondering how this turned out for @VR6T; curious about the "Display Dim-Bright' wire issue.
Im guessing fr/posted pics, it looks like a late model Alpine HU. If so, I think Alpine has an 'ambient light sensor' on the b
utton bar? At least the model Im considering does [ilx507]; how well it works is a separate question.
I'd like to know both answers if possible before I buy...
    Thx.

UPDATE: Looking at his dislay pics, its hard to tell which model he has, but the light sensor is deployed on the button bar when model includes it. I looked up the User Manuals for their button bar legend...no Dimmer Light Sensor until you go to ilx407 and above.
I dont know why this fundamental assist isnt included in ALL HU's made? I think the Alpine units that do this also let you preselect the levels of Bright/Dim that automatically deploy via the sensor. I really like how my Corolla operates its sensor under any conditions. Great safety issue in that driver has one less thing to manage and the ilx507 [and Corolla] also allows Display Off w/out interuption of audio, phone features.

OK, self answered question, sorry for the interuption..." Now bk to your regularly scheduled broadcast..."

Went out this morning to fire crackie up, and the neighbors had just let out their house dogs. One of the little long haired bastards that thinks it's a Doberman, but aint no bigger than a weiner dog came running across the road and up the hill at me...

I was already at the truck so I turned him over, and made the engine bark back. That dog hasn't come back across the road.

God, I love hearing this V8 roar

Just switched out my old Auxbeam GA80 for an RA80. I wired the aux wire to constant hot and have everything coming from the house battery now. I went with the RA80 because they have modes for the buttons (on/momentary/pulse) and you can turn off the display. When off, a small blue light in the corner remains on. The draw on that is so low, it won't effect my house battery much as it'll top off whenever I drive. I have the switch panel, house battery and main on fuse breakers, so if I travel or won't be driving for a few days, I can easily kill all power if I feel like I need it.
I ran a Switchpro 9100 system in my Colorado ZR2s and loved it. Decided to try the cheaper Auxbeam when I got the Tundra and can say that, especially for the price, it's a nice piece of gear.

The first pic shows the blue light when the panel is off. My camera sucks..it's quite faint. The adjustable color panel light, when on, is auto dimming. It's pretty bright in the pic because I had a work light on in the truck. The red power button, on all models,, doesn't kill the panel backlight. It turns off all of the switches that you have on. Push it again and it turns on all of the same switches you had powered before. The bezel is from a guy on Etsy.

I plan to get better quality down the line. This was just a cheap, quick swap.

Originally, my left side marker lamp was leaking. So, I went on RA to get another one and it was $54. I checked Carid and they had this set for $95. I figured it was worth the risk. If they suck then I still have my OEM ones.

Yeah, and honestly, while those are in, you can really inves the time on the OEM pair to sand them up real nice, then lay several light coats of clear on them, enough so it'll stay shiny for a couple of years... then reinstall.

I gave away my factory headlights because they had fine, hairline spider fractures in the plastic lenses.
