That is a major frustration with this platform. My F150 would allow it to be engaged at any time under 20/25mph. Regardless of drive state.

Very handy, especially if you didnt need to be in 4 wheel drive.

My Ford F250 would lock anytime, I mostly used it in gravel when I didn't quite need 4wd. It comes in handy.

I believe all TRD Offroad & TRD Pro models have the e locker - not sure if any add on packages in the US add it or not.

It says plug and play, but where does it get plugged into - to the locker switch & ? Behind the Dash Console?

I just got off the phone with them. Sounds like all behind the dash for plugging it in and then its got its own light you install to indicate the locker is engaged.

    They also ship to canada.

But we have a button already....

I may browse the wiring schematic and see if there is something there we can bypass....maybe

P22 is the solenoid....now the trick is finding how to trigger it.

I've edited my earlier post about the button/lights included with this.

Really good install video on the manufacturers website.

I'll probably be ordering this shortly as I often want the locker in 2x and 4hi.

The kit uses the factory button, but it comes with a separate indicator light. My guess would be you have to fool some _CM to get the dash light to come on when you lock in 2/4HI. That would be perfect.

I also like that F150 unlocks automatically above 25mph. Toyota could have taken a cue from Ford on that one.

Edit: this was discussed here as well:

Correct. TRD Offroad not available on Platinums until '24. Truck must be/have either TRD Pro or TRD Offroad.
