You are not averaging 22-23mpg with your 2020 Tundra. I call BS and demand scientific proof.

Wait till I switch to 35". I will be at around 24-25mpg according to my scientific proof. Results coming next week.

Have you took a good look because it only deploys in certain circumstances. I had to look around for it when the truck was parked before I saw it

Hold the wiper stalk up for 5 seconds after you turn the ignition off. It deploys if you've got it.

Are any of you guys OCD enough, like me, to deploy your active spoiler when you wash your truck?

i have a 2025 1794 OR pkg and it has the active spoiler. My guess (also sports car guy track rat) is that stability is not an issue, ( it is on my Porsche turbo at 135 in turn 1 @ laguna Seca) but not on my tundra. My guess is its a weak sauce milage improvement and mostly a marketing feature. Where else could they put "active aero"

LOL! I didn't realize I had the active spoiler until I did my own oil change. When I deployed it, it was disgustingly dirty.

    You're welcome.

I had the motor on my active spoiler fail on my truck. (23 1794)

While waiting for the part, I disconnected the plug to the motor of the unit and weather sealed it.
Error on the dash went away.

After they fixed the motor on it, I disconnected it again, weather sealed it and zip tied the active spoiler itself up so its there but disabled.
No errors on my dash and really dont miss it. MPG really hasnt changed since I disabled it..... life goes on.

It really is a useless feature. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I hit a tumbleweed, rabbit, bird, etc...and break it.

Then there's the issue that it has to be deployed in order to change the oil, which gives you about 3" of ground clearance under the truck. So you have to use ramps to have enough space to crawl under.

    Just dumb

break that motor on that active spoiler and thats $850 for that too.

At least the new tacomas have static front (chin) spoilers.

On my stock 24 with 20” TRDs my mpgs didn’t change after removing the spoiler. My highest trip average was 24.5. Average is 19-20.
