What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Maintenance day. Just noticed I’ve got rust under the outer tab of my rear driver side mudflap. How would you treat this?

 

With disdain.

 

I thought a bit about whether a full 38 gallons tank is their problem or mine, and decided it is mine. Drained 26. Should be OK for fuel pump replacement.

 

I'm currently in the valley for a work trip.

 

Everyone calls the West side the bad side, I call it home.
I just try to stay north of the 10, too white for the south side. LOL

 

Update on what I’ve done to my 2021 TRD Offroad

-ceramic limo tint

- blacked out the chrome around the AC vents and cup holders

-leather TRD shift knob

-6112’s up front with dirt king UCA, 5160’s in back with RAS set at about the mid point (drive way is sloped, truck actually sits very level)

-295/70/18 AT4’s

-Ray 10’s

 

Hand sand it and touch up paint.

 

Sand it and paint it. It’s surface rust.

 

Installed Bumper Shells Ecoological hood bulge and grill overlays. Silver Sky Metallic. The tape was pretty minimal so I hope they stay on okay long term. Color match looks excellent. Overall a great product that was easy to install.

Just truck stuff. Testing a gokart I made for my kids. Very close to finish the gokart to resume the turbo kit install on my Tundra.

 

Our Dad got us one growing up, loved that thing. Lots of good memories ahead!

Looking harder, looks real nice! What are the specs. Even has suspension!

 

I had the same experience! My kids love it too! A lot of fun and memories!

 

My dad and I used to rip around in a lil Chinese 250cc kart. Some of the best times of my life!!

 

So did the rainman fab switch relocation, and I either ordered wrong part or he don’t make one for 21 platinum model. Made it work but had to do ALOT OF MODIFICATIONS.

 

It has 7.5 hp engine (Honda clone), torque converter, parking brake, horn, electric start, LED lights, disk and hydr. caliper. Got a reverse gear box but not installed yet. It has a Porche body too. Made a removable roll cage, still on primer. It is for a 6 year old kid and the seat can be adjusted. 41 chain.

Updated the lower shock mounts and put some more miles on the new trans. Picked up some horsepowers from the headers and lost 2psi in boost so efficiency is up win win.

What I ended up with. I’m guessing the part I got was meant for the tundras that have the little tray there.

 

Any chrome peeking though at all? I have a set ordered and that’s my only concern.

 

Installed the Reno bed rail cleats. Spring sale on Amazon, 4 for $60. Opted for red since the black one are higher price. Thinking with the red it’s easier to spot in case i am in a hurry i can see it right away. I kinda dig the anodized red.

 

First tire rotation with the new tires. Doing a five tire rotation with this set. Also installed the second set of front (rearward) bump stops when I had the front wheels off. Coachbuilder bump stops from everyone’s favorite truck part dealer @memario1214.

Need to update my TPMS tomorrow with my new Autel. Hope to add the spare to the display since it has a TPMS sensor in it now.

However, driver side upper ball joint didn’t look too hot. Truck has 54k miles on it. Should this look like this?
