Spray in Bed liner, 2-10”subs/400w.amp, tailgate shock, Tinted windows, seat covers, dash cover, CatShield, Fuel D538 20”wheels, Husky custom floor mats, TSC tool chest, leather seat covers.
I use Bugshield, the green stuff that works well getting bugs off the window.

Until my warranty is up I’m only using Toyota Brand Fully Synthetic in water weight viscosity.
I’ve heard of some switching to Maple Syrup Grade viscosity, but I’m not chancing it in case I have premature windshield wiper failure…

If you use the BUGOFF full strength this is what you get.

Have you done any windshield residue analysis yet?
If yes, where did you send a sample?

30-50% methanol, as are most washer fluids. Works good in WMI setups too. Crank up the boost!
(Disclaimer: I know it's a thing, but have no first-hand knowledge. Proceed at your own risk.)

I use whatever brand the gas station sells when I need to re-fill. Never gave it a second thought.

Same here, until.......... I was in Texas in November and needed to refill so bought a jug of the blue stuff like I always buy here in Minnesota. Well, by the time I got home in December, the stuff was frozen. I looked at the label and it was only good to 32 degrees where the blue stuff here is good to -20. Otherwise, I pay no attention to brand.

I'm very picky about the brand of blinker fluid I use, however.

I like the orange Rain-X fluid and have been using it for years. The dealer filled my truck with whatever blue stuff they use but when it gets low I'll switch to the my usual stuff or maybe try the bug cleaning one for the summer.

I just use whatever is cheap & won't freeze. It's just washer fluid.
I tried the rainx type once & thought it was terrible, streaked like Hell.
Basically, I use -20 stuff year round, from wherever has it cheapest.

Whatever is on sale...otherwise I top off with water. I dont deal with freezing temps. Dollar Tree sometimes has some for cheap and I'll buy a couple gallons worth

When I lived in places with mild winter temps, I used whatever was on sale. After moving to snow country, I've been using Rain-X orange (-25F rating) for winter and Rain-X green (+32F rating) for the rest of the year.

After having to remove and clean 2 vehicles' washer reservoirs after using non-methanol (pink) fluid from Bi-Mart for years, I am only using blue, methanol-containing fluid now. I believe the pink fluid led to the growth of some unidentified black stuff in the tanks which caused some clogging of the sprayers in our Sienna. Similar issues with our Accord. I get the blue stuff from Home Depot.

I used to use the Rain-x stuff, but then i had a couple washer pumps fail in my Gen 2 2011 Tundra, and read that the stuff is bad for them... so I use the blue stuff now.

Don't listen to Soupbean77, he doesn't have the his facts right. The maple syrup viscosity stuff will only affect the washer pump and not hurt the wiper blades, so you can use the thicker stuff all you want if you don't care about a dirty windshield.

I’ve always heard the orange colored washer fluid was the best, so that’s what I’ve always went with. at the end of the day windshield washer fluid is nothing you need to be anal about and anything will work when it comes down to it.

I think what’s important is to add the rain-x additive to it. That stuff actually works, it’s amazing. I don’t even have to turn on my windshield wipers at highway speeds, although I do. Pour a little bit of your preferred wiper fluid into the reservoir, so you have enough room for the rain x, pour the rain x in the bottle, give it a good shake, then add to your reservoir.

    IMG_0056.png

There was a time where I put Dollar tree windshield wiper fluid and it worked just as well as the orange stuff at only $1.25
