Any of you fellas use the Tyger Tri-Fold Tonneau? Build looks similar to an Extang Trifecta at nearly half the price. $215 shipped almost seems too good to be true, but the Amazon reviewers love it.

Just need something to keep the junk out of the bed, and occasionally transport items I don't want soaking wet.

    Thanks!

I've been very tempted to try one myself. Interested to see any feedback from Tundra owners.

My buddy has one coming for his Ram - and his friend has one on a Sierra and "loves it". Just haven't seen any mention of it around here, despite 100+ Tundra model reviews on Amazon.

My 14 DC came with one installed by the dealer. I hate it. It refuses to clamp down properly due to the way the bed sides are constructed so it acts like a flappy sail when driving. I could probably fix this with a piece of wood or something to pinch up under the clamp points... but that's beside the point.

If you're anywhere near Phoenix, AZ, you can have mine. Just come get it haha

I too have their steps and have nothing to complain about. Quality stuff. I even had an issue with a shipping problem and they immediately took 20% off the price for a couple extra day wait. Good company

I have the Tyger tonneau, bought from Amazon. I was just looking for something basic to keep out water and keep smaller cargo out of sight and out of my cab. I've only had it a couple of weeks but it seems good so far. I have the bed rails on my 2017 and the adapters in the kit slid into the rails and made installation easy. The water seal around the edge seems to be decent quality. I figured for the price even if it doesn't last forever I could buy 5 or 6 of these for the cost of some of the others out there.

I have a Tri-fold tonneau cover from Tonneau World. The 2nd vehicle that I've had one of theirs on. Personally I love it' When installed correctly they are indeed waterproof. The 1st one I had on my old vehicle I didn't even need to use the rubber seal that came with it. This most recent one I had to install the rubber seal at the leading edge behind the cab at the front of the bed. They're simple to open and fold back and I have found them to be invaluable when traveling in keeping things safe from view and dry. Would put one on any truck I owned.

My truck came with on installed on it. This is my first truck. Works as described. The plastic rail the left side is hooked into is curved out from time I guess. That side is not quite as snug. Ten year old truck. Might have been on there for that amount of time? Still looks great and fits my needs for now. Peace. D

Have a Lund version of that with cam style locks. Takes a few seconds to remove.

Generally like it. Does let a little bit of water in thanks to the not quite flat design of the rail caps Toyota chose.

After about 2 months, I’m really happy with mine. I just got back from a 2400 mile road trip through New England where I had luggage and other items in the bed. Got a lot of rain a few times and everything stayed dry. Locking the tailgate I felt comfortable leaving the truck with stuff I care about under the cover. I’ve taken it off completely a couple times to haul a full load of tall items and the off/on process is really easy. All in all I have no complaints.

I've got the Extang Trifecta 2.0 and can't say enough good things about it or the company. My family and I have had Extang on other rigs. I can't recall if they have a true "life-time" warranty but at a show earlier this year, they told my father (who has had his for 6 years and it's showing its age), they would replace it at no cost...maybe shipping.
I bought mine at said show earlier this year. I think I gave just over $400.

IMO, their seals are unbeatable (see below). Their attachments/install is super easy and their lock down handle springs are very light and easy to attach quickly, and do not move once locked down.

This along with their tailgate seal, and a drive down a 2 mi dirt road....not a bit of dust in the bed.

No that is their soft cover. The hard cover is the Solid Fold 2.0. Same seals and quality, but about twice as much...:frusty:

I was leaning towards the tyger researched the extant 2.0 and auto anything agreed to beat the Amazon price of $376.00 shipped. Just not sure if it still worth the extra note over the tyger? I guess there are several out there that are compatible in quality.

Responded to PM, but for the good of the forum.

I really like mine and would buy the same one if I had to do it again. Most of the other hard tri-folds I liked had to use an additional rail to attach them and you couldn’t use the factory rail system. Plus I really like the look!

I have this cover. It's a solid cover for a cheap price. It's good for the price in comparison to the other covers. I would recommend it if you don't want to spend too much.

Finally got this cover. Its nice as hell for $200!!! Tight fit, went on in about 5 minutes. Time will tell how long it holds up, but my initial impression is great.

Family member had over his Tacoma with a cover closer to 400 and mine looked and felt just as nice.

I have the Tyger cover as well after seeing my BIL had itnon his Silverado. I’ve had about 4 months and so far so good. Works as described and is water tight for me.

    Very good for price.

The Tyger survived our worst snow in a while. I actually saw two different tonneau covers on the side of the interstate, that looks like they got ripped off from the heavy snow and wind. Mine didn't leak a drop.

Tyger still holding strong. I wasn't paying attention last year and cranked the shit out of one of the adjustments, somewhat stripping it. Called Tyger and they had two new ones to my door a few days later, no question. Excellent tri-fold for $200.
