Sweet Truck Man !

 

Dropped off @sdhq_offroad for Icon six speeds, Toyo R/T, and alignment yesterday.

 

Not a high tech post, but I'm a woodwork hobbyist and had this idea in my head for a while. After installing the bed rug, I didn't like the idea of having to carry gas cans, used oil, etc. directly on it. So, I made this out of some scrap plywood. It doesn't slide around and keeps things from falling over. It will configure to whatever I want to carry. And it comes in handy for camping trips too.

 

Damn truck looks good, that color grows on me every time I see a picture of it

I put on tow mirrors, running boards, new wheels and tires. Tonight I'm putting in the driver side handle... have to go to the store to get the extra parts it doesnt ship with..

 

Busy day today. I took off the spindles and had a buddy weld the gussets on. Forgot to take a pic after paint and install.


Then installed the TC bed stiffeners.

I’m gonna have the bed coated so got a little sloppy cutting the factory liner.

 

I'm considering the same LED replacement bulbs... do you get flashed by oncoming drivers with the lo-beams on?

 

Only drove last night with them and fogs on same time. Didn't get flashed yet though, but I wouldn't say 1 night of driving would be enough time to tell yet. Can tell you the combo is awesome from my side. Makes huge difference.

 

Looks good! If these wheels were out when I got my methods I think I may have made a diff choice...

Helped a friend move.. drove about 270 miles today hauling stuff from his old condo to the new house he just built. My truck looks sexy even stuffed with couches!

 

No, 295/70 R17, did not want to cut anything on this truck. Additionally, I kept the lift conservative this time, little under 2.5”, due to the safety stuff. It worked out great, have almost no pre-load on my front coils, rides amazing.

I was going to get Methods again, forget either mesh or grid with the gray middle and black ring, but they clashed terribly with the cement color. Once I accepted having to run a black wheel, choice was easy, they are very nice.

 

Looks great. I’m partial to my SR8s but those would have been my next choice.

 

Couple more pics. I was racing the sun after the gym to get a good picture, but the sun beat me. It was nice being able to go to SDHQ for these directly, everything is perfect, lucky to be close.

 

For you guys with DAPTUNE, what's the secret to reaching that guy? I've left numerous unreturned messages over the last few months. If I can't get him to return a call before the sale I'm worried about service after the sale.

 

Email works. I always got a quick response via Iinstant messenger. He's big on Facebook so that's a good way too. I know he sold like 70 units on black Friday and had some issues with the company for the handheld. I know he's been working like crazy trying to get that right for people. Not making excuses, just fyi. But never had issue using IM.

Me either, I don't even have it but made a profile for my truck so I can get on tundra crew lol. That's how I found it, he's huge on there. Def best way to reach him though. If u get the tune, which btw I highly recommend and love it so far, still getting even better each day, u might want to get on IM just in case u need him after. I've always got a response in less than a hr. Usually type in my question and I get his voice recording back from him. He is insanely busy right now, def a great guy and not out to get anyone. I'm sure he's trying to resolve the issues for those that experienced from black Friday with the handheld. Makes sense, get right those that paid, then get back to more potentail sales.

 

Do you have/remember the part number? AVS says 194309 for 2017 "Extended Crew Cab", I've got a 2018 Crew Max, I'm assuming it's the same thing. On Amazon, the 194309 doesnt list vehicle's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

 

These are supposed to add like 10hp and 2mpg each so that' like 40hp and 8mpg

So I watched the YouTube video of the guy installing the ESP underseat storage system....looks like an easy mod...

Here is my question....I was thinking about buying some of that sound barrier film and going heavy on the bottom and sides...anyone tried it? Only complaint I’ve read is sound noise. In the video the guy only uses the cut carpet.
