So my wonderful wifey got me spyder headlights for Christmas....I haven’t gotten to dive into it yet but was wondering if someone could tell me or point me in the direction of the auto leveling motor or whatever getting transferred onto them being discussed. I’m sure it’s been discussed, but I searched with no avail

Can't help you with your question. But kudos to your wife for supporting your bad habit.

Start reading at somewhere around post 38, I gave somebody else my recommendations/instructions on how I did mine. You can't just unscrew the adjuster screw all the way, you have to unscrew them most of the way, then twist the motor to unlock it from the housing, then you can finish removing the screw. The adjustment screw is to long to be able to unscrew it all the way without unlocking the motor from the housing.

Okay new question.....how do I manually adjust these things?? The nylon nut? The bolt in the middle of the nylon nut?? Something completely different?

    Bolt in the middle, I think it's a 7 or 8mm.

Okay, so no turning of the nylon at all then?

Are they actually a pain in the ass or am I missing something?

If you are talking about these, the white nylon just holds the screw in place, you unscrew the bolt in the center most of the way, then twist these out to remove them to install the motors. If you are just trying to aim the spyders, then just the bolt in the middle, don't touch the nylon.
