Official Tundra Wheel and Tire Setups - Pics and Info

Just an update on my toyo At2 extremes. I rotate these every 5k miles, sometimes myself and sometimes at discount tire. I was the salesman there how much longer I've got before I need to start thinking about a new set of tires. He said the set I have still have half the tread life. I was pretty surprised at that. I bought them when my truck had 35k miles and I just hit 91k miles. I've had the truck in ice, snow and mud. They really shined on ice and snow. They've got me out of mud and I've never been stuck, but I'm sure toyos mud tires would have made it easier. I was considering trying a different tire, but I'm not so sure anymore. So anyone thinking about these, I'd definitely recommend them.

So after reading this I am more confused than when I started. If I read this correctly, with a 3/1" Leveling/Lift (I have the RC 3/1 leveling kit that I will install) according to this, with a stock 20" rim, I could fit a 285/65R20 tire with no issues? That is a 34.6"x11.2" tire. With all my research I haven't seen anyone who put this on their truck. I am really struggling with what tire size to get. I have the rims picket out - Fuel Coupler 20x9 +20offset but need to know which tire is going to work the best with minimal rubbing. I was going to go with the 305/55 but like the idea of more height with the 285/60. According to this post, there shouldn't be any rubbing if I could actually fit a 285/65 tire. Any thoughts?

 

I don't have any lift or leveling kit and I'm running a 285/55r20. You shouldn't have any issues with a 285/65r20.

Very nice! You are the first one I have seen who is running this tire size. Do you have any rubbing? Of course since I am going to run an after market rim, I don't figure I can run these since the offset will be different but yours looks great!

Went through 5 pages and couldn’t find an answer so here’s my question: just installed Kings and lifted the front 2”. I have stock Platinum 20” wheels and was wondering if 275/65r20 wheels would rub. Thank you

Looking at putting rims on my 2013 Crew Max. Currently have the stock steel rims with 275/70 R18

I trying to stick as close to the 18” OEM rims for Tundra Crew Max 2013 for MPG purposes. I like 18" Fuel Wheels D515 Pump Matte Black with a +20 offset. I would like to put some kind of leveling kit maybe 2" -2 1/2".

I'm a little confused on the leveling kit and tire sizes outlined on page 1. I think I should be okay with 275/65/18 Toyo tire. Just not sure if the tire will rub. Any feedback much appreciated.

 

So the more of a negative offset, the more the wheel sticks out from the truck? A +20 Will be tucked more and a -20 Will protrude more?

How can one get the specs for a Rock Warrior wheel and specs for a TRD wheel to compare? I know a Rock Warrior will allow a 35" tire on no lift stock Tundra with minimal trimming. I want to know if the TRD is the same

 

TRD wheel is +60 and a RW is +50.

Hi all

I’m down to 2 rim choices. One with +20 offset and one with +25 offset on 18’s. Which one would be better. Also with a 3” lift and level kit what is the biggest tire could I run without doing a cmc? I’ve read all of this and am still unsure. I think I’d like to go with 295-70-18’s. What do you think?

 

Both of those rims are within the right offset range to fit 295/70’s on a 3/1. I’m running that size on +12 wheels and only rub on the front bumper when the suspension is compressed, will be fixing that by adding a plate bumper with better clearance sometime this year. No rub on the cab mount with stock UCA’s.

Either one should work. I've got spacers for about +28 offset and Bilsteins on the highest setting, about 2.25" lift. 295-70-18 fit fine, only an occasional rub that I can't duplicate, usually in reverse at full lock. Only happened 4 or 5 times in two years.

Just got my truck back today, 2.5" leveling kit with Fuel 18x9 Fuel Pump w/ +1 offset and 285/65/R18 tires. Only thing I changed from my original post was the tire size, originally I wanted the 27/65
I haven't had a chance to wash the truck. Had some minor rubbing on the mud flaps so I removed them. Now I have a VERY small clearance when the wheels are turned all the way.

 

275/65/20 Cooper St Maxxx. Moto Metal 970 +18 offset. Had to cut and trim front plastic.

 

Had a set of LT285/60R20 Toyo Open County AT II XTREME with TSS wheels
Figured out I have the

$417 Revtek 437 2.5" Front/1.25" Rear Suspension Lift

Revtek 437 level lift

Also tried the 295/60R20's and they also fit no issue, but decided they were overkill. Looks way better than when I got it (Michelin LTX MS2 275/65/R20 FOR SALE! )
