How does everyone who owns one of these high-end coolers store them when not in use? Do you store with the lid closed and locked or do you just close the lid? Do you keep the cooler in the house, garage, or back of truck etc...

I store mine with the lid unlocked on my three season porch. For the most part it stays in the back of the truck all summer locked to a bed cleat. It faded a little but who cares.

Stored in the house when not in use. Takes a lot less ice to cool it down in the summer that way.

I keep mine in the basement lid closed. I did notice the last time I opened mine it smelled a little musty. I may have not allowed it to dry out completely after the last time I used it. I just used a small amount of bleach mixed with water to clean it up good as new.

I have an Orion Cooler. I store mine in the basement with the lid closed and locked. That reminds me, i better go open the lid to air out.

In the garage, way up on a shelf, closed with the drain plug removed. Even though I keep the drain plug out I make sure they’re completely dry.

I try to store all my ice chests with the lid cracked open, cheap ones too. I store them wherever I can find space.
