Hey guys, I put some 33x12 1/2 tires on my truck. I love the look of them but when I turn sharp my front tires are rubbing against the lip on the mud flap. I tried heating them up to mold them so they would not stick out as much but have not had any luck. I would like to keep them on and not have to cut them out just so I can keep the dirt and mud getting up into the truck. I took my truck back to the place where I had the tires installed and all they did was put one screw into the mud flap and this obviously did not fix the rubbing. Any thoughts on how to get the rubbing to stop without taking off or cutting into the mud flap? Photos would be a great help if you can post some pics. Thanks in advance for the help!

All bolts on bottom on front bumper end caps loosen em up don't take off keep tires straight and the bumper can maybe move about 1/2" may help to have extra hands to help out, they can pull bumper out while you tighten and I'm on 35*12.50*20 only slight rub is full turn lock in reserve

Thanks for that info but the mud flaps that I'm having issues with is not towards the front bumper (that one has been completely removed). The mud flap the tire is rubbing on is the one behind the front tires...near the front door.

I took some photos of the area where my tires are rubbing. Still looking for any advice or what some of you guys may have done. Anyone have any good after market ones that they have had some luck with?

I thought about removing but doesn't that throw up dirt/mud up inside the truck? Or does it really matter?

Can you cut that part of the flap and it not rub the body? You could also lift it like this guy and not have a bit of problem rubbing

LOL that's just a little too much of a lift for me...I thought about cutting the part that is rubbing and then attaching something behind the mud flap to keep the dirt/mud out. I'll figure something out....but if all else fails I'll just remove them like others have.

    Working on it :-)
I just took the inner screw out, put some pressure inward on the flap, made a new inner hole and screwed it in. Gave me just the additional clearance I needed.
