The water where I live is aweful and leaves aweful water spots all over my truck. I invested in the OPtimum no rinse. My truck is black and I am a little worried about using it. Just had my truck washed and waxed 1 week ago so it is just dusty and a few water spot areas. Anyone have feedback on this stuff.

I have a spotless system as well. I have the DI-120. Absolutely spot free dry, and just order more resin (or whole replacement cartridge) when the meter starts getting close to “19”

I have looked at those and really have considered it. Our water has so much calcium my truck looks white if I let the water sit. Glad to hear a real review that it works. Not a bad price either.

As for the Optimum no rinse (ONR) don't be afraid to use it. I have been using it this winter with great results. Read the instructions and watch some youtube vids and go for it.

I just ordered the DIC-20 off Amazon. Will I be happy? What is the Optimum No Rinse?

I also have very hard water. I’ve used optimum and ech20. Both work very well. I’ve used it with my regularly water. Since you’re immediately drying it as you go, I didn’t have issues with water spots. I also use my house water when I use the presses washer. I think as long as you don’t let it sit, you’re fine. My truck is black also.

That said, I have taken to using distilled water for the rinseless washes and detail sprays. It’s maybe a dollar a jug at Walmart, so I pick up six or so when I’m there.

I've had one for 5+ years, my dad's had one for 10+ years. Best car washing investment i've ever made (I wash a minimum one car every weekend). Combine ith with a pressure washer which will use a lot less water....

    rinse....walk away....spot free

I have this same thing and it's a game changer. Sounds strange but I actually use less water with this as well. You have to use a low water setting on the nozzle to ensure the water is thoroughly filtered and not having to use drying towels means less washing, less water. Not too mention its cuts my car washing time in half!

Optimum and Carpro are LEGIT. Just invest in good high GSM rag company towels. You will need a good amount. And also maintain those towels too!

Just purchased the DIC-20 and did a little modification to it. No need to switch hoses around for treated and non-treated water. Gave the Tundra and Yukon a bath in the bright sun. Worked great!IMG_2612.jpg

Treated water: close the one in the middle open the 2 on the ends. Non-treated close the 2 on the ends and open the one in the middle. For the hose connections I have a female hose adapter on the right(IN) and male on the left(OUT). Hope that makes sense. In the photo all valves are open just to let it air out after use.

Guys that have the Spotless DIC systems, talk me through your wash process with it.

Do you pre rinse and wash with untreated water and then final rinse with the Spotless system? Or do you use the Spotless system for the whole process?

I got Chemical Guys Water Spot Remover and used it this weekend on my Tundra and my wife's Camry. No more spots, simply wipe on, wipe off. I waxed with their Pete's 53 after that and both vehicles look amazing.

Same here and I make sure the truck stays nice and wet while using untreated to ensure it doesn’t start drying on me in the HAF GA sun

I use untreated for washing. keep it wet until the file rinse that is treated. You can see modded unit in a photo above to easily switch between treated and untreated.
