Hey everyone, I purchased a TRD CAI for my 2015 Tundra and although it is CARB legal, I didn't see any CARB decal included in the box. For those that live in California, we need that CARB decal in order to pass smog.

Does the TRD CAI include the CARB decal and for some reason I'm missing it or do I have to order it from the dealership or Toyota/TRD? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the stock intake have a CARB stamp? I'd think since it's a Toyota part and technically OEM then it might not need one?

No the stock intake doesn’t have a CARB decal.

Yeah I thought the same thing but since the TRD does look “aftermarket” I’m sure the smog shop punks will still ask for the CARB decal.

You can get the CARB sticker at the dealership too, they had one in stock when I went in. I think it was $9 or something like that.

    Info:

    Emissions Compliance Information:

A new process has been implemented. No longer is the Emissions Label included in the Performance Air Intake Kit.

If your state requires an Emissions Compliance Label, one may be ordered through your Toyota dealer or the Toyota Materials Distribution Center (MDC) 310-468-9800 or MDC@toyota.com

This TRD Performance Air Intake Kit has received 50-State Emissions Compliance via the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Not all states require the Emissions Compliance Label but TRD does recommend ordering one. To receive the proper Emissions Compliance Label for this TRD Performance Air Intake Kit, please order MDC part number 00602-34135. Proof of ownership may be required.

I know. Ridiculous it doesn't come with it but in Cali they will check and you will get a ticket. $7, $9, $11 something like that...worth it IMO compared to the annoying process of going to the Sheriff to get the fix-it-ticket signed off.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah it sucks that us Cali folks have to deal with these smog restrictions. I agree its better to pay $9 for the decal vs. having to deal with a stupid fix it ticket or having a smog shop fail you because they don't see the decal.
