I'm playing around with some ideas for a custom grill. I got the EAG grill and I plan on painting the surround of the grill blue to match my truck. I cut out some clear acrylic letters yesterday just playing around. I'm trying to decide if I want the letters to be clear, black or blue or if there is any way to light up the acrylic with LED lights. I'm also wondering if the lettering should be smaller or I should be some sort of band across the grill rather than adhering the letters directly to the honeycomb.

Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas would be appreciated!

Lettering is the right size in my opinion and adding a color will make it stand out for people to see. Adding the LED light effect will make it really pop. If you are looking to eventually replace the lettering on your grill I would go with a band behind the letters or if you do not want a band you can individually attach each letter via a bolt and nut using a strong epoxy.

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
Those letters look awesome. Color matched and back lit would be sick!

I may try a band with TUNDRA etched in to the acrylic and see if there is a good way to LED light them from the sides since the LED light travels along the acrylic...something like the attached pic.

    Still rocking the stock height.
I think that the letters are the right size. What about a strip at the top and bottom of the letters to attach them to the grill then you could put the leds in the strips to light them up from top and bottom?

I've been waiting to paint my grill surround, letters, bumper ends and fender flares at my friend's shop. Unfortunately I went on vacation and then he went on vacation. I should install it at the end of June.
