    What are these cables?
Could it have to do with the rear view camera? Whenever the truck is put in reverse nothing comes up.
Truck is a 2015 SR work model.
The red circle is where they come out from.

Bed lined, tinted all 5 windows, hose clamped tailgate, toolbox, steps, ESP rear seat storage bins, dash cam, anytime camera switch, console safe, pop a lock for tailgate and wheels/flares, sway bar. I have Techstream if anyone local needs it.
I don't think they have anything to do with the camera. Every Tundra with a camera has wires coming out just right of center, below the bottom of the tailgate. If those yellow ends are on the end of that cable, they are not factory. Did someone have a topper on the bed prior to you owning it?

    Not sure honestly.
Any advice on why the camera isn't working. Screen works but nothing appears on it.

I don't mean to sound demeaning, but if it is a work grade truck, are you sure it has a camera. I'm not familiar with how they are equipped.

    It has it.
I'm pretty sure it's a work truck. No carpet, dark gray grille on the white truck and plastic cap ends.

Maybe the previous owner added it.

Probably had a cap on it and maybe those were from a cargo light.
Is there any power to them? If not try opening the door or turning on the bed lights and check for power then.

I’m pretty sure that they are for the third brake light on a shell. This is where mine is powered from.
They have nothing to do with the camera

Excuse what may potentially be a silly question, but what's a shell?

    Camper, topper, shell, cap, etc

Vernacular is a regional problem and sometimes problematic.
For instance does TT mean Toyota Tundra, travel trailer, or what?

All campers that cover visibility of the third brake light are required by DOT to provide one.

Welcome from Texas, does the Tundra even have the camera on the tailgate by handle? Is it connected ? The wire is in the middle of tailgate at very bottom, ther a wire harness with loom going to underside of bed

It does. I think that will be something we're going to do this week.

Do check if it's plugged in, will I have to remove the back part the tailgate and just see?
Will it be pretty obvious as to what cable it is?

I have a 2015 SR and it has a backup camera . If there is a camera lens by the tailgate handle it has one. I think all 2015 had backup cameras

If it was a topper that was on there which had a door to it, the previous owner probably had the tailgate stashed somewhere. Hopefully they put the plug in the vehicle connector so it wouldn't go to hell. You would have to open the tailgate and look for the wiring. I couldnt find anything on the youtube that shows a 14+ which came with the camera standard

Just looked at mine. Open the tailgate and you should see the wiring just right of center. Looks like it goes down underneath...that’s where the plug was on the 07-13 modes with the cam.
