What should I paint my RW Wheels with?

Just as the thread says. Black Plasti-Dip or Paint? Reasoning behind why? I off-road pretty regularly. Reason why I removed the TRD wheels and went with the RW wheels. Truck is Cement. Thanks!

 

I say try the plasti dip to see if you like them black or not. Paint is so much more permanent if you don’t like it. You could also alternate doing the fake bead lock ring black and leaving the rest or vice versa.

 

I like the way it looks now.

 

I was only doing the ring. I like the gunmetal.

 

I think that would look good. Just go the plasti dip route and see if you like it. If you totally love it, peel the dip off and paint them. But if you do ever go to sell them, I would think most people would want the original rims color.

 

Just paint it. Had plastidipped wheels. Never again. Especially if you’re offroad quite a bit. Or just leave it.

 

from your pic id say keep them the way they are. cant tell if theyre all beat up or not but the current look is clean already

 

Ours are powder coated, but paint would also work

 

A friend of mine has a powder coating shop so I would only have to pay for the booth time.

I would say just leave it the way it is (unless you specifically want it to be black). If it is just for protection, the paint or powdercoat will get scratched too. Put the money in a separate box under your bed, and in a year or two when it is scratched and you don't like it, powder coat it then, and then you have a brand new looking set of wheels.

 

Leave them be. They look fine the way they are.
