TRD Pro grille

You’re looking for Attitude Black 218 Hood Bulge.

The 3rd gen Tundra Pro grille never came in that color so since you can only get Onyx 202 Pro Grille, I’d wait for the 2019 TRD Pro honeycomb grille which should be out by year’s end. It still won’t be the same black but it’ll be an updated look.

Or get a 2018 Attitude Black 218 regular honeycomb grille now for a complete match.

 

I don’t want the plain grille though. I want the grille that says TOYOTA (TRD Pro) grille. Will the 19 fit my 16?

Also want big front bumper with wench! Lift kit! Possibly take the 20 inch rims off and replace with 18 inch TRD rims for meager tire!!

 

Cheap eBay ones from overseas are Onyx 202, they may have imperfections like ripples in the paint finish, ymmv. If you want cosmetically perfect parts, order from authorized dealers like Cool Springs or Sparks.

 

Look on ebay and craigslist. Mettallic black is hard to find but patience is the key to not spending a boat load.

Im doing a chrome shift not a blackout on mine. I basicaly want the chrome accents on the doors and not the grill so im waiting to score the right grille and bulge to make it happen. I reinstalled the original chrome handles back on the truck after i color matched the front bumper corners and like it alot.

If you find the grille that you like with any color surround (not chrome) for around 100 bucks or less grab it take it to the local collision shop and have them shoot it with your 218 paint code for you. It will match. Paint is the best way the other forms are temporary band aids at best unless you really like the unpainted plastic look

 

I will say the ebay grill I just put on my buddies truck was a good paint job on it. Looked OEM but idk what the black paint code was on it

 

I definitely have a body guy who would do it for cheap for color match! Just want to make sure the grille is legit is all i care about!

 

If it wasn’t good I can get it fixed! Big this is screw on emblem and one grille!

 

Like I said I was impressed by the quality. If you have a body guy...ebay also had gloss black hood bulge for about 130 shipped. If the bulge quality is as good as the grill I'd grab those and run to your painter. Would be under 300 then whatever he charges for the paint.
Or try it chrome first

 

I really liked the screw on emblem over the taped on OEM letters.

Like I said earlier I've worked with both. Ebay insert is just as good and I actually like the color and emblem better

 

If you snap too many clips on your chrome surround I’ll give you a good deal on mine if your local

2018 TRD Sport has it too, non-functional. The hood bulge and grille frame is the same though.
