I wanted to see if anyone had any images of a 2nd gen with 3rd gen trd wheels (grey and black). I have been looking for a set for awhile and I’m ready to pull the trigger. I just installed 5100’s last week so it’s time for new rims and a set of 295/70 r18’sFD5105CE-B120-41B4-8DD6-4EFADB74B468.jpg

Yes those rims. Thanks for posting. Hoping for someone with those rims that has a similar setup to mine so I can get a good idea of what it would look like

Not sure where you’re looking because I can’t seem to find anyone. Seems like 90% of the images are aftermarket wheels

running boards , TRD sway bar and tundra 08 SR5 wheels. FRACmod, pop&lock and backup sensors installed .
I went with the reverse my 2015 SR had the stock steel wheels and I picked up a set of 08 SR5 rims for free. Looks better than the stock SR rims , I may get some Black TRD rims .

I think they will look good. I wanted a set of those black and silver TRD wheels for mine, but never could find any at a reasonable price. I like the "clean" look with the leveled truck and factory rims, but I was also having to buy new sensors as well, which was adding to my cost. The best deal I found would have put me at spending roughly $900 on those factory wheels with new sensors, and I just wasn't going to do that.

It worked out though, because I got the Vision Warriors that I think turned out better because of the offset, making them stick out just a hair. Ended up getting those wheels and new sensors from Discount Tire for like $600.

I’ve found some on eBay for around 700 that I’m looking at buying. Probably go with an atturo mt or Yokohama mt similar to the toyo’s. I currently have yo-yo at’s now and they are pretty basic. Not to sound dumb but what sensors are you referring to? These have to be replaced?

Looks clean. I just like the trd rims because they look more aggressive

TPMS (Tire pressure monitoring system) sensors. Since you already have alloy wheels, your existing sensors could be swapped to the new wheels, but since they are 6 years old, I’d recommend putting your money toward 4 new sensors rather than paying labour to pull them from your existing wheels.

Oh yeah tire pressure sensors! Yeah I just looked real quick online and found a set of 4 for pretty cheap so I will just order those when I order my wheels

So I purchased a set of these wheels ($350 brand new) and now I’m trying to decide on a tire size. I posted again in wheels and tires but received 0 responses. Could I fit 295/70 18 cooper discoverer stt pro’s with the 5100’s at top setting? Really hoping someone can help me with this so I can get these ordered

I have 5100 at highest setting and just last week installed 295 70 18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers all I had to do was some heating up of the fenders

Man thanks for the quick reply! I hear people talking about heating it up but have no idea what you mean. Got any photos or what exactly needs to be done

The fender behind your fogg light heat it up with a heat gun just make sure you don't melt it just let it get hot enough where you can grab a small wooden stick that's at least 2 feet long and push against the fender while heating it up

I ended up getting some myself. Paid 350 for the rims and added some nitto ridge grapplers 295 70 r 18 with 5100’s on top setting. No spacers and no rubbing at all. I’ve been running these for close to two years now and great experience with these tires

Hey guys. New to the forum. Just put the 2020 TRD wheels on my ‘07 thanks to your post. This truck looks night and day from when I bought it in November. Thanks for the inspiration. 11180CC7-DC74-4B25-809C-4581D23D6364.jpg
