It was a sarcastic attempt at humor on my part. That bracket something seems off about it. It doesn’t matter though as you’ll be getting a new frame! Stoked!

Carrier Bearing and door switches arrived today. Didn’t realize Wells was made in Japan. This bearing is heavier than lead.

Probs do the switches (get stitches) in the morning. They are a 30 second job each. The bearing is sometime in the next month or two. Gonna drop it on a weekend and take it to Heavy Truck place on a Monday morning early. They have same day turn around. Hoping to pick it back up later in day and re-install it then.

Bought a Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar. Ebay is doing 10% off. Been shopping this thing for a while. Its averaging $355-385 depending on where you shop.

Called Heavy Service Drive Shaft Shop and spoke with the tech to reconfirm everything concerning the upcoming Carrier Bearing and U-Joint re-build.

He can get the special Cardan Joints (Toy used 3 types that year), as well as the center ball (could be 12mm or 13mm depending on what Toy put on as they used both sizes that year). He has the ball and spring in stock on the shelf. The Cardan joints on mine are a C-Clip (Outside Clip) and need special order (one day lead time).

Total cost for re-build at shop is $150-180 (labor plus 4 joints and ball/spring). I drop the shaft and bring it in and provide them with the TOY OEM Carrier Bearing (already purchased for $135).

Total overall cost will be $285-$315.

Got my Wheelers superbumps in the mail. Got my Camburg bushes yesterday. Taking my Foxs for rebuilding tomorrow and will get them back in a week.

Hoping to have my truck back together by Thanksgiving lol! My apartment manager called and wasn't happy about my truck being worked on in the lot so now it's all covert ops. :spy:

No smoking, pretty damn good looking though. Would be cool to walk into her office like "is there ANYTHING we can do to... work it out?"

That's why I love living in a small town. No one gives a fuck about what you do on your property if you own it. Well, as long as you maintain your yard within reason. If you don't mow all summer the city may fine you

I’m from Truckee where we get 300+ inches of snow a year. I want property where I can ride my sleds into the backcountry right from my garage, legally. Texas isn’t an option, I can’t do weather over 90, plus it’s too flat.

No mountains in Texas for me, that's why I won't go. Beach, desert and mountains are a must. Just need a garage now.

There's definitely some decent spots for off roading the hill country but yeah most of the state is pretty flat otherwise.

On a side note, anyone know how I could find out if my truck has limited slip?

I think that's why so many Californians have been settling into our hill country. They ain't mountains but they suffice, plus theres plenty of lakes and rivers in that area. I live on the coast, it's not great, but theres jobs and cheap gas and housing lol. I hope to retire to the hill country someday

Easiest way is to look for his sticker on the housing:
    03D5B741-8213-4CA4-B8CD-026058459427.jpg
Next best is to plug your vin into this site and it will say if it was an added option:
    https://www.toyota.com/owners/vehicle-specification

    Or the spin method.

I guess i don't have LSD, which is weird since it's a limited. Maybe only TRDs had em? But then again, according to that site I have a 60/40 bench seat but I have buckets and a console

I spun mine. The wheels spun simultaneously in opposite directions of each other.
