Customers like the size, performance, lighting and value of the charging adapter. They mention that it's very small, works great, and is good value for the money. Some like the resistors. That said, opinions are mixed on quality and ease of use.
AI-generated from the text of customer reviews
Customers like the lighting of the adapter. They mention that the lights are great, bright, and efficient. Some say that the adapters are fine for small lighting applications with limited space.
"...to fit into the small spaces I need but are still bright enough to light up the area well. Will buy again" Read more
"Nice bright LED is enclosed in a spot of clear resin that protects the connection to the leads which are a slight bit heavier than others I've had..." Read more
"...great for making little accent lights in the house!" Read more
"These seem to work okay; they're not bright, but then again, they're tiny so I wasn't expecting much...." Read more
Customers like the performance of the charging adapter. They mention that it works great, produces fantastic results, and works perfectly with 3 volt batteries. The output is impressive and impressive for how tiny they are. Customers also say that the adapters are very efficient and will light up at a convenient approx 3V.
"...For how tiny they are, the output is very impressive!..." Read more
"...i used 3 for the head on my 3d printer. works great!" Read more
"...I applied the proper resistor for the voltage and they did not work. I reversed the polarity and it still did not work...." Read more
"...So far every light has worked perfectly, much brighter than I expected...." Read more
Customers find the charging adapter very small and useful. They say it's the right size to fit small lamp castings on models, and that it'll fit into tight spaces. Customers also say it works well for small models and LEGOs.
"...And these lights are just the right size to fit into the small spaces I need but are still bright enough to light up the area well. Will buy again" Read more
"...They fit easily into just about anywhere, and it's very easy to wire them up to nearly any voltage with the included resistors!..." Read more
"So tiny that they work perfect for a 1/24 1/25 model headlights. 3v battery hidden under the hood and I’m in business." Read more
"...They are very bright fir their size and very small for tight places. Only complaint is the resistors that come with it...." Read more
Customers appreciate the resistors included in the charging adapter. They say it's a nice touch, and they appreciate the different voltages. They also like that the adapter comes with three different resistor values. Customers also appreciate the assortment of dropping resistor for several voltages, and the fact that it provides resistor to limit the current for a few voltages if needed.
"...Saved me from having to worry about that. The included resistors are a nice touch as well...." Read more
"...voltage using a multimeter and it puts out 5V. They kit includes a bunch of resistors that vary in voltage and since I have a 5V power supply all I..." Read more
"...For beginners like us it was great they came with resistors too. So far all of them have been holding...." Read more
"...Included were three sets of discrete resistors, to accommodate whatever power supply voltage is needed...." Read more
Customers appreciate the value of the charging adapter. They say it's good value for the money, and worth the money spent.
"Good value. Not the best lights but they work. Used them for a diorama build and they did the job." Read more
"Excellent product." Read more
"...That alone makes them a good value for the money. The light is beautiful and pure...." Read more
"...Good value, decent price." Read more
Customers are mixed about the quality of the charging adapter. Some mention it's well made, durable, and tough, while others say that the wire on the LED comes loose, the connections are weak, and the LEDs are faulty.
"Did some custom lighting in a project and these were good quality and easy to work with." Read more
"...When removing the coating, it can happen that the wire on the LED comes loose. I had 3 so far that became unusable...." Read more
"Not too bright not too dim. Very strong and good coating on wires" Read more
"...The light is beautiful and pure. I am building a model of a spaceship, powered by a 9 volt battery...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the ease of use of the charging adapter. Some mention that the need to solder is super easy, straightforward, and easy to wire them up to nearly any voltage. However, others say that the adapters are small and delicate to work with, making soldering a real pain. The lead wire is too stiff and hard to install, and the wires have a tendency to snap off the LEDs.
"...They fit easily into just about anywhere, and it's very easy to wire them up to nearly any voltage with the included resistors!..." Read more
"...The issues are:The leads are solid strand with a protective coating on them. When I say them I mean them...." Read more
"...The kit was straightforward all you have to do is find something to power it. I used an old iphone cable using only the power and ground...." Read more
"...very small and somewhat delicate to work with. but they are idea for those HO locomotives," Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the wire thickness of the charging adapter. They mention that the wires are coated with a very thin, tough coating to prevent shorting. However, some customers feel the wire is thicker than they want and the length is not enough to make it work. They also say that the tips of the wire are soldered together and that the LEDs had the lead wires reversed.
"...them a bit for counting (I got 27) I found at least one had lost one of the wires. They do have some epoxy on the LED...." Read more
"...BOTH wires are coated with some very thin, very, very, tough coating to prevent shorting (in hindsight, that makes sense)...." Read more
"The LED's come with some isolating coating on the wires...." Read more
"...However, the wires were left very parallel and so the tips of the wires are soldered together. It's not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience...." Read more

The included resistors are a nice touch as well. And these lights are just the right size to fit into the small spaces I need but are still bright enough to light up the area well. Will buy again

Wanted to update this review as I'm buying the $30 multi pack now, so I added a few more pics to this to show how this looks on my RG Sazabi and my RG Nu Gundam. I've since learned I prefer using a 3V coin battery rather than an old iPhone cable. Since these SMDs are made for 3v I don't have to add a resistor to my circuit. In case anyone is wondering I didn't have to mod my RG Sazabi at all for the SMD to fit. All I did was used magnet wire (thinnest wire you can get) and since theres empty space within the cockpit in the head, all I had to do was secure the SMD in there. The photos I used are before I tried the magnet wire and 3v coin. I'm still learning and I'm getting better at this. The RG Nu Gundam I used a pin vise and drilled a small hole in the clear plastic piece used for the eyes and was easily able to put it in and run the magnet wire. On a 3v coin battery alone I was able to have the eye powered up non stop for about a full week until it started to lose luminance. Building a custom MG Sazabi now and playnning on light everything up with these.
First Review:
Finally got around to using these today after a few months sitting in my drawer. I build Gundam models and since most kits dont have the ability to put a normal LED in them I had to resort to this microscopic sized SMD. I'm quite surprised at how bright this thing is for it size. The kit was straightforward all you have to do is find something to power it. I used an old iphone cable using only the power and ground. I tested the voltage using a multimeter and it puts out 5V. They kit includes a bunch of resistors that vary in voltage and since I have a 5V power supply all I had to do was simply choose the resistor that was in the 5V range. I have no experience with electronics just did a little research. I don't know how to calculate what resistor I'd need if it wasn't clearly labled in this kit. However, seeing this work has sparked my curiosity and now I want to learn more for future Gunpla's i create. This is probably the easiest circuit to create. Having this presoldered and resistors clearly labeled with which one to use for your power supply made this even easier.
Note: I'm clearly not done finishing up my current setup in the picture. I plan on running longer wires and electric taping or covering the exposed wires. This was just me taking a pic that it works.
