Looking to polish my black chrome exhaust tip. Really looks like crap and I've only had it on a few months. I bought some nevr dull polish, will that work without scratching it up? Or what is the best product to use?

    Flux capacitor!
I also have black chrome exhaust tips on my Corsa exhaust. I use Never Dull Polish currently. I’m curious if there is a better option for this as well.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Here's a product I have used for many things, it work really good on chrome, it cleans and leaves a height luster. Good luck

Get a cotton cloth, apply about a finger nail size amount and rub in until dry use second cloth to polish up. Re apply if needed it removes road tar brake dust, etc.
I also use this on head lights takes the yellow right out.

If the black appearance is actually the color of plating, and not a painted top coat, any metal polish will work including ordinary Brasso. Several have been mentioned. If you've got heavy deposits, polishing them off with any metal polish is going to be time consuming and work. I've had a small tube of German-made Simichrome for decades:

Let me know if anything works for you. I have the same problem. I haven’t really tried to figure it out.

Not completely washed, but you can get an idea of what mine looks like. The white spots don’t come off.

I used nevr dull and it worked pretty dang good. I'm wondering what I could put on it to help after I work on it more? Ceramic coating of some sort?

No idea what will help. I think the issue is the heat bakes on the dirt and crud.

With my next purchase from CarPro I'm going to buy some CQuartz Dlux Wheel & Trim coating.

    https://www.carpro-us.com/protection/cquartz-dlux-wheel-trim-coating-30ml-sky-kit/

    Applications:

    • Plastic Trim
    • Rubber Trim
    • Engine Bay
    • Headlights, Fog lights, & Tail lights
    • Wheels
    • Tires
    • Metal Trim
    • Exhaust Tips
    • Chrome
    • Plastic Wheel Wells
Worth a shot once I get the exhaust tip cleaned up.

Yet another product I’ve had sitting around that I haven’t tried. I did try Never Dull a little, and it seemed to work well.

The guys on The Rag Company podcast mentioned this today. They said a good wheel coating is the way to go.

Just purchased dual exhaust with black tips...did you find anything that you'd recommend?

I was cleaning my bumper with Windex glass cleaner to prep for the bumpershells install. For the hell of it I hit the cold black exhaust tip with it and it did a decent job of cleaning it up.

Mine looked grey and nasty for a long time, even after a car wash. I got an old microfiber cloth, dumped a bunch of Dawn dish soap on it, and got it really wet and soapy. I wrapped the cloth around the exhaust tip and it was clean twenty minutes later.

    That's my non polishing solution.

Thanks for the tip! I tried Nvr-Dull and can confirm it works well. We’ll see what comes back after a wash.

I’ve used this stuff for many years. Lightly abrasive but it dose the job. B8097D27-8D4A-4BF5-92AC-E16778CDD89F.jpg

I have used Klasse AIO Sealant on all my dual exhausts. It is safe for just about any surface per their instructions. It also has chemical polishing built into it. It has taken my tips from nasty to very shiny. It is safe for paint to since it is a paint sealant. I use it on my cars and trucks. It gives me about six months of protection when using it. You put on the AIO and then top with the Klasse Pure Sealant.
