Tundra Crew - need some advice on an audio setup. Looking to keep my stock Premium Entune HU (non JBL) to retain all of the factory uses such as Bluetooth, backup camera, entune, etc. (2017 TRD Pro CM)

Went to a few local audio shops and came up with this:

Amp - Alpine PDR-V75 five channel
Pioneer sub - TS-SW2502S4 shallow mount 10in (one)
Custom box - mounted behind the rear seats
    Rear speakers - Alpine SPR-60 6.75in
    Front speakers - Alpine SPR-69 6x9
Dynamat Xtreme - 4 doors, roof and back cab wall
Premium four gauge wiring for the amp

With install, total would be $1500 and requires a full day. Supposedly the amp has a built in line converter to clean up the signal.

Checked out *********, but don't want to do the install myself and I'm in AZ. Want to make sure it's a clean, high quality sound (I'm a bit of an audiophile), but have never kept the stock HU in previous vehicles. Not looking for extreme bass output either.

Thoughts, changes, advice? Thanks in advance!

Well, I can tell you right now, your head unit puts out a dirty signal and no amp or regular line converter will clean it up. I tried with an audiocontrol lc7i, but got low end white noise. Lot of money to have something like that. The only thing you can do is try though. Let me put it this way, if you go thru with your plan and don't have any dirty sound, you will be the first person to do it that I know of. Some say a high end line converter will do it, but I have my doubts. Looking at the taco tunes converter, it looks very similar to the lc7i. For me it was an easy decision though, I had a basic head unit in my 13. If I were in your shoes, I'd try with what you've got with the thought that if I didn't like the sound, I'd invest in a high end line converter later. Good luck. Looking forward to hearing the results.

Yep, you would be the first. there was a guy here who said he didn't have any problems, but came back later and said he had low end white noise. When your volume is at zero or 1, you don't hear anything? If not that's great. Tell us what you installed!

I loved how much power the lc7i gave, but the dirty signal was just awful. Same with everyone else that's had one. Except for you! Well that's pretty nice. Even though my head unit was basic, I would have preferred to keep the stock look.

Sounds like a great deal for 1500 installed. I also used the factory HU (into an LCQ-1 before the amp) and had No problems with noise. You can see my set up on my audio install post if you're interested.

    Congrats on the new mod!
