Those UDR are cool. I just got my kids the La Trax Tetons. I kinda want the eRevo or that UDR. I think if I buy one for myself I’ll settle with the Rustler 4x4 VXL.

What's left of my Jato......it caught a mailbox post doing well over 50 mph. I remember it well and was some 15 years ago. But that pic was taken 5 mins before the post, guess it's hard to let go of $800.....

They're fun, they just drive a bit different with the linked rear suspension. Its a bit ass happy till you tune it to your liking. My son got pretty good at flying his Rigid version.

Ah yes, the Jato! I need to get mine running again. I'm somewhat focused on finishing my Tamiya Knight Hauler / Bruder Mack combination though before starting anything else. 20190622_202218.jpg 20190617_213454.jpg

Are you running it on 6s or 8? The batteries for these newer versions make them insanely fast. I stick with 6s, it's some what managable. They just get destroyed going any faster.

I've seen one running 8s and it was insanely fast. I stick to 4s on my UDR's, that's fast enough for me. It's alot of work keeping these trucks going on 4s, I can't imagine running 6 or 8. I'd break it before the battery was done.

I can only go about 1/4 throttle and that is still fast anything past that it is just doing wheelies almost reminds me like all white Tundras fastest Tundra available......lol

lanndcruiser 70 has King coilovers in the front, old man emu shocks and leafs in the back.

the prerunner has 4 King coilovers and 2 King bypass dampeners. 4 link solid moa axle in rear. IFS up front

please excuse the 4WD locking hubs on the prerunner. It’s 2WD so they have been replaced with something more appropriate for 2wd.

I have a Traxxas X-Maxx along with a few other cars but have you guys seen the Traxxas Maxx 1/10th scale that is a 4S? That thing is a beast but it looks too touchy control wise in some of the videos. Do any of you have the X-Maxx? I need regearing help after the new wheels.

I just really got back into RC here recently. I went and bought an Axial Wraith a few months ago. I started with the first SCX10s when I was deployed. Had both the honcho and dingo. I’m working on a tmaxx electric conversion now but man has RC changed a LOT over the past 9 years haha.

This is mine basic other than doing the 3.5 swap my issue is if I get it running right I end up totaling it. By the time I rebuild it, it doesn’t run right and when I get it running right total it again. It’s a vicious cycle hints the dust collecting on it.upload_2019-12-25_22-15-13.jpg

I tried running a nitro years ago and spent more time rebuilding it then I did running it. Hence why I got away from it and went to electric. Now it’s just crawlers and a basher for now haha

Man from all the cheap ones i had back in the 80's and 90's I know the first thing I would do with one of these nice ones is run it straight into a wall at full speed.

20191214_170216.jpg I just bought my nephew his first RC car. Nothing extravagant just a Horizon ECX Amp MT. I know it isn't on the higher en but he is only 4 and I expect him to break whatever he gets. Looking forward to it actually cant wait to start upgrading it. Any suggestions on where to get parts or what brands to stick to?

Went through and started rebuilding my Scx10 I got back in 2010. Slow going but finding parts is the biggest thing. Not so much now that I figured out everything from the 10 ii can go on the 10.

Great thread! Here's my project Traxxas TRX-4 Bronco & Tinyhouse the wife & I built from scratch. She also sewed the roof top tent for me to cover a styrene false. Looks amazing IMO. Hand made the water jug and cooler too, it's got ice & Coke bottles inside. Bungees are hairties & paper clips. Roof rack is from a TRX4 Defender.

Man I use to be heavily into RC when I was stationed in Japan from 1988-1992. I can remember having one of the first monster trucks (Klod Buster) and several Kyosho Optimas. I could take a trip to Tokyo and get a full setup complete with radios ready to run for under $100. I also had a CanAm car that did close to 50mph but it got demolished when it hit the wall at full speed. I was running it on the flight deck of our carrier in port when they started testing the radar equipment and I lost all control of my car. Pieces everywhere. Took a trip the next day and got another one.
