Toyota dropped the ball on the tundra. Does anyone else feel this way? We purchased a Toyota sienna back in 06 and it was a fabulously well-built vehicle. I Purchased a brand new 2018 tundra 1794 model crew cab max. I drive for a living, a professional tourist if you will. LOL. I must say that I feel that Toyota has dropped the ball on so many levels Considering the amount of money I spent on this vehicle.Does anyone else feel this way?

Everyone has their opinions to things and even different level of "expectations" but it appears you haven't browsed the forums in your short time being a member on here. These are extremely well built trucks that are tried and true and that everyone loves.

Also, comparing Sienna's and Tundras o_O

    Not. At. All.

I've had Chevy, Ford, and Nissan trucks; and Chrysler Jeeps. The Tundras that I have owned are some of the best vehicles that I have had.

The only negative thing that I think Toyota has done to me with the Tundra, is take away reasons to look for my next truck. I really used to enjoy shopping every couple of years when my big 3 made vehicles would make me consider replacement.

When I traded in my 2016 Tundra for the 2018, it was for the dumbest of reasons really in retrospect, but also one of the best statements for the platform. I didn't love the color of the 2016, and it needed tires.. Favorable trade value, plus some rebates and some dealing, along with the price of new tires helped me justify swapping for a color I liked.

In previous truck shopping exercises, my thoughts were more around "how much of an extended warranty will this one need?"

I guess I just don't understand why you bought it if you feel that way. In what way did they "drop the ball" in your eyes? I mean you did look at the truck, sit inside, drive it around and ask questions before you bought it right? Only person you can blame is yourself if you feel like you bought the wrong truck and no one on here is gonna tell you otherwise.

2019 Limited, what ball are you talking about?
You don't have to do much research to know what you are getting and what you are not.
You are getting a well proven truck
You are not getting all the latest tech gadgets
You are not getting a top line TOW rig
Its a truck its going to drive like a truck

    What ball did I miss?

OP, as an FYI the only vehicle that members on here might hold in higher regard than their tundras in terms of build quality would be a Land Cruiser

You come to a "Tundra Enthusiast" forum and immediately start knocking said truck without even properly introducing yourself? Maybe find a Sienna enthusiast forum?

I love my Tundra for just about every reason a person can love their automobile. It isn't the cleanest or newest tech out there, but I can't help but smile when I hear 381 horses rumble. :bananadance:

I'd say the OP dropped their own ball by not carefully deciding which new vehicle to spend $50k on. Nobody forces you to buy a Tundra

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
One of the best resale valves I’ve seen so far.
I’ve been looking at ToYotas limited & Ford Lariats 1/2 tons.
Ive casted put my line hoping to real in a used one, I can’t afford a new Tundra. :anonymous:

What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you anywhere close to anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone here is now dumber for having read this post. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Sorry to hear that someone dropped a ball on your Tundra. Hopefully the dent isn't too bad.

Seriously, though, I didn't buy a Tundra for the bling factor. I bought it for reliability and serviceability and I'm quite happy with both. Although, I will admit it could use a little more chrome.

@Professional driver Welcome to a Tundra enthusiasts forum, where most, if not all, of the active participant are very pleased with their choice of vehicles.

There is a ton of knowledge and experience around here, and if you have specific issues or problems with your truck, I'm sure you'll be able to find solutions here (both conventional and utterly ridiculous).

That being said, if you dislike the truck as much as it sounds, just sell it? At least you've got a high resale value vehicle that other people want if you go down that route?
