Ok, that kind of makes since in your case. Not sure about mine, but I'll have to check it out. I know the auto up feature does the bounce back thing. I can't pin her down on it, but seems to me that it has to do with my wife just not closing it all the way and not wanting to admit it. I find The window open in The morning and she swears it was closed. The sunroof definitely has issues. I'm just going to disconnect the power to it. We've had a couple close calls with it. I caught just before a storm a couple times and had to drive 20 miles in the cold when it wouldn't close with a storm coming in. Ever seen the front seats of a car full of snow? Not a pretty sight!

There we go blame it on the wife for not closing the window LMAO. You should know it is women's rights month. I'm sure this would be causing your problems. Just kidding of course. My 4 runner has the auto up feature and I have never had a problem with it. What is the bounceback thing? Does this happen when you drive the vehicle or only her? Did the sunroof and window problem start at the same time?

You have aftermarket trailer wiring installed?
Sounds like a back feeding problem. You have power getting into your brake circuit some how when the tail light circuit is on... need to be saved with electrical to figure that one out

Lots of mileage? Check for play in your wheel bearings up front, also us a backing plate could be it

I had an old 2 door Chevy Blazer that kept unlocking the doors by themselves. Went out of town and the battery was dead upon return with the doors unlocked. Turned out to be the electric door lock switch in the drivers door. But it was very frustrating.

I have a factory tow package. No aftermarket wiring. I will be able to work on it later today after my woman gets done driving her truck, oops , I mean my truck.

Lotsoftoys, I had Dave from Lexota plug in techstream and go for a ride on the mountain roads where I know the trac acts up. Even with the tires at 30 psi it still did it but not as bad. Dave found that the wheel speed difference from side to side is outside of the parameters, causing the computer to think it needs to step in to prevent a slide. From asking others on here that have the Hypertech speedo calibrater that it might help. I talked to hypertech yesterday and the guy said it won't because it simply plugs in behind the speedo. It doesn't plug in to the computer system. Is there any way to adjust the system for the taller tires? Any ideas on why it seems like tons of guys have taller tires than me and don't have this issue? I have stock wheels, seems like the majority of guys with lifts and bigger tires have less offset. Could widening the stance help? Doesn't seem that would make a difference. But maybe with the higher center of gravity, you need a wider stance to balance it out?

Oh yeah, the guy at Hypetech said he new of several people who have had trac issues that were caused by the alignment being out. But it didn't do anything weird until the tires and everything looks good after you aligned it.

This caught me off guard when I first got my tundra too. Chevy, Lexus, Ford etc. all handled the same at a stop without needing much foot to hold the vehicle in place, but damn if the Tundra wouldn't creep forward every time using the same pressure I was used to on other vehicles. I'm used to it now...almost. I still catch myself every once in a while not holding enough foot on the brake.

    Question....

Althoughthe 5.7L kicks ass, I live at almost 11,000 in elevation and my heavy truck with lift and 35s still has to work hard. What's the best remedy for the elevation I live to get better mpgs and power? Would a good intake approach be sufficient or should I go with a supercharger?

Intake can't compare to a SC for power.

    Doubtful

I've heard different load ratings can cause issues with trac... try a different set of wheels and tires

Hey Jace, I'm sure that if I put the stockers back on my trac issues will go away. But I just spent $1500.00 on the upgrade and can't afford to sell at a loss. Is there any way to adjust the system for the taller tires? Looks like with the bullydog tuner you can turn the trac off without having to mess with the switch every time you start the engine. Still not a true fix, but if that is the only option I might go that route. I'm used to vehicles without trac, so not to concerned about it. Of course there goes another $400.00. Of course the tuner does do a lot of other stuff to. What are your thoughts on tuners?

Could look into re-gearing as well. I haven't geared my truck yet but gears should give you both what you're looking for.

Yesterday I received my new fuel/air ratio sensors (Denso #234-9026, from Amazon, 2 @ $115.88 ea.) and O2 sensors (Denso #234-4260, Left rear, from Amazon for $54.68, and Denso #234-4624, right rear, from Amazon for $52.83). I installed them last night and was able to get all four of them off using just a Craftsman 7/8" combination wrench, although I have the O2 sensor tool kit that Toyota uses. I chased the threads on the exhaust pipe fittings, used the anti-seize that Denso supplies with the sensors and had the whole job done in about 2 1/2 hours. Truck ran great immediately afterwards and instantaneous MPG readings seemed to be coming up to what it used to be.

The real test was this morning. The truck sat out all night and the temperature this morning was 23 degrees. Prior to changing these sensors, the truck would have started jerking and bucking as soon at it got to about 1700 rpm and kept it up for at least a mile and a half. This morning it was SMOOOOOOOTH as chicken lips. No surging, bucking, jerking, belching or farting. Sarge behaved like a gentleman. (Wife named the truck, not me. But it's a good name for a truck that's tough, strong, and don't take no sheit off anybody.)

tomsinamerica, This job cost me only around 350 bucks, including shipping, and the dealer wanted over $1,200 to do the same thing with the exact same brand and part number of parts.

I'm not a huge fan of changing ecu logic... typically u can get alot of money for tires in good shape on cl... I don't know why you are having trouble, when other trucks with similiar setups are not.. weird. Only thing I can think of is the tires. Not exactly the size but the compound? I wish the had a sensitivity setting on the trac but they dont...

Hey Jace, yeah I am sceptical about tuners to. Trucks got plenty of power and I don't want to screw it up. I put the stock wheels with stock size P275/65/18 back on today. The only good news is that the tpms light didn't come in. Still doing the same thing. I stopped by Dave's shop, he ran tech stream on a drive a couple weeks ago. He's kinda stumped, no codes about a bad sensor. I'll drive it some more and see if maybe it'll settle down. Any ideas as to what the heck it could be. I notice that it looks like it might be toed in to much. Could the zero point be off still. I played with the amount of rake with the airbags and played with tire pressure.

Hey Jace, drove the truck a little more and it looks like the trac has settled down. It went off a little bit in a tight turn with loose sand on the pavement, just what it should do. Now I need to work on discount to trade me out to a different tire without having to take a big hit in the pocket. What do you think about going to the ridge grappler in a 275/70/18? Its still an E rated tire and 1.25 inch taller than stock but same width.

Jase will know better than me, but I have the Ridge Grappler in 275/70R18 on my 2016 4WD CREWMAX and I haven't had any trac issues (knock on wood). I've only had the tires for a couple of weeks and only have a couple hundred miles on them, but so far I haven't had any problems. Just one data point for you. I've been following your issue for the past few weeks and hope everything works out with the trac issue.

Yeah, I'm pretty frustrated with the whole trac thing. Guess I got the sensitive one!:annoyed:have you had your truck out on any windy roads? Mine was only doing stupid shit when the nose dives with the steering wheel at about a quarter turn.

I haven't to this point. All of the roads in my area are pretty much flat and straight. The closest thing to a windy road I've been on are sharp on- and off-ramps and I didn't have any issues there.
