Looking to replace my 2005 Tundra Double cab headlight assembly. Stock has yellowed and rather than the polish route I think the truck deserves a fresh set. Having a tough time tracking down a set of OEM. Can anyone help? The access cab set seem to be out there but that apparently is different than I need for the DC. Thanks.

Local junkyard or online if you want oem. Or you can do an depo or tyc assemblies off eBay and Amazon.

And yes the double cab lights are bigger and different

Had Depo brand on my Tahoe. Quality was not too bad. It was a good base for a mini H1 retrofit.

I bought new OEM from dealer. Shop around because prices vary by 20%. Going to have my truck for the long haul, so worth it to me to spend $400 on new.

Numbers at the top of the box are complete light/bulbs. Ones at the bottom are just the housings.

Being TOCS sales store is down, maybe try Sparks..

When I had my 2005 DC, I buffed the headlights out with a rotary pad on a drill and Flitz polish.
    It worked pretty good...
Just be careful to what your drill speed is..
I use a DA polisher for that work now..

Not really. If you go to https://parts.toyota.com/ it will list your closest local dealers.

Otherwise I typically just use TYC brand housings from RockAuto or Amazon.

Aftermarket ones are plenty fine IMO. You’ll spend a 1/4 of the cost and years out of them. I use them for my retrofit builds and have only had one issue out of the 30-40 sets I’ve built.

Dig it. You have an aftermarket you trust more than the rest?

If I had to guess, there is only one or two manufacturers making them so I don’t think you can go wrong.

My experience with aftermarket housing is that that cutoff line is much less pronounced. In fact I would happily trade these shiny aftermarket mismatched set for some ok condition OEM that need to be polished.

Cheap Chyna LED Bulbs with Cheap Chyna Aftermarket Housing Assys (bottom pic 23ft. test).

Best light the truck has ever had. Only thing left for me to try are Projectors of which I’ll be doing the Morimoto MLED 2.0.

Or, I may try these Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 Bulbs as they’ve gotten great reviews.

2005/06 Tundras are finicky with LED, though.
