I am looking to use posi-tap connectors on the wires in the kick panels (as soon as I figure out which ones to tap) to add puddle lights. What is the size that I need for most wiring on our trucks and is there a kit that contains locks, taps, and twists?

I typically use the red/grey ones but have an assortment. I have used several of the blue ones too.

Yeah I see there are quite a few. Amazon is probably the best place to get them.

Thanks....so those should work for kick panel wiring for the courtesy/cargo light circuits. Now to try and find out what color those wire are so I can put my Vleds puddle light in this weekend.

Not sure if your 2020 has it, but I tapped into the little footwell light on the driver's side of my 2014 SR5 for my puddle lights.
Also have my custom footwell lights tapped into that circuit.
That way it dims on with the unlocking of the door and dims off when it times out.
Seems my ign key trim ring is also on that circuit..

Since I simply removed that little LED, I was able to solder my stuff in.

    Those VLEDs are awesome..

    Those Posi-taps work pretty good.
Only had one issue with them when installing my Amp steps.
The door open switch wire in the kickplate (that triggered the step) was so small, it took a little work to get the posi-tap to make a connection..
I have them in 3 sizes, Amazon was the only place I could find them.
Parts stores around here don't seem to carry them..

Yes I have the footwell light. I have the Vled kit plugged into it. On my 2013 I had them tapped in at the kick panels. It was a shorter and cleaner wiring run. That is the goal on this one too.

They are usually rated by gauge, I've used the blue ones posted above to splice into the kick panel wiring.
