    Yeah, I used incorrect terminology. :D

    Those big bars hanging down below the frame in plain sight would be properly called "trailing arms" or "trailing links". Stock car racing calls the lateral link a "track bar", but more correctly, it is referred to as a "panhard bar".

    Ground clearance near the rear wheels will also be taking a hit with this design. The lower shock mounts appear to extend maybe 4"-5" below the axle tube. :eek:

    But, these are the observations of an un-trained layman from the general public which might or might not notice suspension/chassis components hanging down under. Unfortunately, I have zero potential as new customer...I already own the previous design, and won't be able to wear it out soon. :pout:

    Looking like the new Tundra is going to need some serious mods if it's
    going off the pavement.
    Both front and back approach angle are more like my Chevy was ....looks like there's more over hang than current gen.
    May not be a bad thing for overall sales. Bulk of truck sales aren't
    being sold to the off-road type.

    Let's get this thing unrapped .....we have waited long enough!!!!

    I wish Toyota would design this rear suspension so that it could be easily & economically retrofitted to 2nd generation Tundra trucks if that's what the owner wanted.

    A single one size fits all Cab would be less competitive and boring.

    Fully agree but the current gen is already less competitive (only one engine, no CM std bed, no 2wd or SR in Canada, only one rear axle ratio in Canada...) and it's not clear how much Mike Sweers feels like competing with the big 3.

    I agree but atleast there is still a 5.7!
    Remember when Toyota offered the 5.7, 4.7/4.6 and 4.0 at once!
