    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's finally time to get this next SCS project off the ground and make you Tundra owners happy. Help us decide what the next flow form SCS wheel should be for the Tundra. Whichever wheel model goes into production, rest assure that it will be hubcentric and in an 18x9 +25mm size. This size has worked out well for us and most owners so there's no need to change the formula on what works.

Our goal is to have it ready for the public in early 2022. Below are some reference rendering photos to see the difference between the F5 and the Gen5. Do note that the F5 standard colors will be in matte and the Gen5 standard colors will be in gloss.

Review the photos and video carefully and vote!!!

I like the larger spokes and more rounded edges of the F5. It’s a real classic, IMO.

I really like the F5’s…but for whatever reason I am drawn more towards the Gen 5’s. If I keep the Tundra I will be waiting for these.

I'm the opposite. I like the sharp edges of the Gen5. It looks clean and modern to my eye.

I totally agree with you. It might be too clean and modern for me, especially with the gloss finish only.

F5 in a matte finish looks more classic and off-road-ish to me.

I like the sharper spokes of the Gen5 but don't like how it comes out in the center. Concave or flat always looks better. It's like the Method 701s in 18s, they don't look as good since the spokes protrude out in the center vs the 17s that are flat.

    I vote for the F5

I like the Gen5s, nice modern crisp machined look versus the rounded cast appearance of the F5s imo. I may finally be forced to buy my first set of non-beadlock wheels in my life :D

I know exactly what you mean and it's something I'm not fond of myself. In person and in reality, the spoke will look almost flat and very pleasing to the eyes.

F5 looks to be a stronger more durable design. Send me a set in black to give them a durability test and push sales:burnrubber:

yes, construction will be the same as noted in my first post. It would be a flow form wheel construction like the rest of our lineup. Weight has yet to be determined. We won't know until they are closer to production, but either model should weigh less than the Ray10 and between the 2, the F5 will always be slightly lighter than the Gen5.

Would be nice to even get wheels that are in (production) let alone wheels that aren’t. So my friend says.

Good point, but this thread isn't about that. Our wheels continue to sell out faster than we can bring them in. Some might believe that we only bring in 2-3 sets at time. We will let people believe whatever they want the truth to be.

It's in a general, Non-Vendor thread and you stated you want them ready for the public in 2022. So I'd say his comment is fair game.

I think the response was more of a "yup, we know that our supply issues are frustrating. Sucks for us, too. Do we really need to hash it out AGAIN in here?" but with tact because their trying to remain professional.

In all honesty, in my opinion, both of them are going to show too much brake caliper for my application.

He Vin, you know I have owned 3 sets of your wheels. Looking over the pics and having my last set was F5’s I will still be voting for the F5’s. But I think if it would come down to what ever set you manufacture I think I would still get. But prefer the F5’s.

I started bugging Vin about the F5 when I bought my tundra in 2018, still my favorite design. I’d buy either without hesitation, I just personally like the rounded edges of the F5 a little better.

F5 love to see a lighter color like the icon titanium color. the super dark ones just blend in on the darker trucks.

Help me understand how the Gen5 wheel will no longer look convex in person compared to the photo.

I hate the look convex wheels on any application and that immediately stood out to me in the pics so I voted for the F5
