Dope fiend revitalization, dented 2000 RCLB 4WD SR5 PM log and suspension upgrade brain storming

    Now that I decided to keep my truck and not upgrade it to a newer model I want to make sure I am performing all preventative maintenance. IMG_6387.jpg

    Here is what I have so far:
    Purchased truck in fall 2016 at 149k miles, truck was all dented and obviously driven hard off road but there was lots of maintenance documentation, the frame was rust free, it fit my needs, and the deal was reasonable so I bought it.

    Immediately replaced LCA's, LBJ's, trans filter, shocks (stock bilstiens), 2 tires that where worn and wrong size, and all gear oil.
    That winter in cold mountain weather a massive exhaust manifold leak developed so I upgraded to JBA short headers.
    At 175k Spring 2018 I replaced the spark plugs (Denso K20R-U), coolant, upper/lower radiator hoses, t-stat, power steering fluid, wheel/tires (old used FJ takes offs, should have kept my own 16 take offs)
    At 192k Jan 2019 new tires 265/65/17
    194k Spring 2019 new trans fluid, gear box oils (probably pulled the trigger to soon on this fluid change)
    Summer 2019 197k new radiator lifetime warranty OE part
    198k spark plugs iridium ones
    Dec 2020 209k new valve cover gaskets
    Summer 2020 cleaned throttle body and did seafoam treatment.
    Syn oil changes every ~ 5k
    Air filter changes every ~6k
    Fuel treatment every ~ 10k
    Battery every 4 years

    Now at 211k miles I found this website and I am dreaming of a suspension upgrade but first I want to make sure I am not missing any preventative maintenance or repair items. I have always used the Hayes manual and user manual to guide me on PM intervals but I am open to suggestions on this as I sometimes over do it.

    Timing belt was done at 137k on March 2015 before I purchased the truck. My mechanic said it looks good so I was thinking of doing it at 227k.

    I was inspecting my suspension today and found UCA fitting leaking. This is the driver the side where I recently noticed a slight clunk when turning left into up hill drive ways or bumps. I have not jacked the truck up to check the wheel bearing yet but I plan to do this ASAP.

    Should I fix these suspension issues now or just wait until I upgrade the suspension and then just tear it all out? Or does this needs attention now? Before I upgrade my suspension I want to wear out my tires tread for about another year or so. So this is not an urgent suspension upgrade plan, just he early stages of a longer term plan.

    Maybe get different shocks, I like the bilstien equivainet. Does it matter that I am copying a 04 build when I have an 00?

    I gave up on dreaming of a long travel suspension and made a more reasonable plan. This what I have so far for my suspension upgrade parts list:
    Coil overs Bilstien B8 6112 47-260337 up front $732 (plan to set to +1.9"), on back order

    Shocks Bilstien B8 5160 25-261332 in back $400, on back order
    Upper control arms SPC performance 25485 ~$639, plan to order soon
    KYB Strut Mount and Insulator Set $90, on order
    Suspension Maxx Extended Sway Bar Links $130, on order
    Alcan leaf pack spring set to +1"and OE specs, not on order yet

    I wanted to order coil overs and shocks that were in stock but I could not find any I like. I will just have to wait for these back orders to clear out. I will be researching further here for other parts I should order with these.
