After looking at my truck a little more closely I noticed these gaps on driver and passenger side headlights. Is this normal? Anyone else experienced this?

That's the smallest issue to worry about with the truck in general being a cosmetic disaster. :stirthepot:

Not if that gap leaves an opening for potential corrosion due to water getting in over time. I know that water will get in places regardless but any chance to preserve the vehicle, I would gladly take. Especially at the prices these trucks are going for.

    Trying not to mod it
It looks like it's all uniform spacing, so I would lean toward it being done by design.

Water will be getting by around the lights anyway, however I had one headlight that was lined up correctly. Supposedly the dealer fixed it. But I haven’t seen it yet to confirm.

    Too many, but not enough....
based on my 21 a little gap is normal but i know for sure mine are pushed in all the way since i changed to LEDs. Not knowing anything about the 3rd gen, it does look a little excessive to me but you could compare to other trucks. Maybe they didnt push them in all the way.

I’m okay with it having a little gap. It’s hard to tell cause of the lightning, but that gap is a straight through hole that leads behind the fenders. The light itself doesn’t quite seal off that area.

Aren’t the fenders aluminum? I know some body panels are aluminum and some are steel… potentially wouldn’t corrode as quickly as steel if it were aluminum (and you were to get a paint chip exposing the bare metal to corrosive salt water).

I don’t know if its aluminum but I live in Hawaii so salt is everywhere in the air.

That gap is to provide room for flex when you're wheeling
