No impact as far as tuning. It just keeps the CEL from glaring at you. The precat O2s are the ones that the motor uses to run properly

Truck is in the shop today for the header install and motor mounts. Hopefully when this is done we (ProSpeed) can finally finish tuning.

Anyone running a Level 10? I've read through some of the comments for those running IPT upgrades but not many with the Level 10.

Oh and I am sorry courtesy Diderot.

Upgrade may or may not be necessary. Someone recently posted about their transmission having issues only after ~150K miles which got me started on looking at options.

Nat Spd is saying they've used both and this particular gentlemen recommends IPT. He is saying they've had issues with level 10 recently but we'll leave that there. The only issue I've read with IPT is mainly with the lower gears and daily drive-ability. Seems like it is a correctable issue however.

I have every intention to get the IPT Valve body.

I just need to find a good shop to do it. TEQ auto solutions & offroad just opened near here. (who mentioned them 1st?, kudos to you.)

I'm gonna go by there this week.

If it goes well, I reckon I can do the valve body, LSD & trans fluid service in one fell swoop.

I've got the IPT Valve Body already and LSD. But if anything does happen to my tranny, my next step would be a full build from IPT.

How do you like the IPT, if you have it installed? Which LSD did you go with?

It seems good enough. Don't really have anything to compare it to but I definitely can tell it shifts better. That being said, we haven't tuned my tranny yet so I'm sure it'll get even better.

For the LSD I went Powertrax after talking to Keith at DD. He said the Auburn is absolute trash and went as far as told me he'd sell me the one he pulled from his truck for 50 bucks if I really wanted one. So after that conversation.. I went Powertrax.

Thats the LSD I went with too. I was going to wait for regearing if I upsized tires but decided now will be better to capitalize on the increased HP. Tires are next on the list still not sure which way to go, was actually eyeballing the Pirelli AT Plus or whatever they are called.

Keith was mentioning that I should do the gearing as well along with the LSD but I did the gearing in my 2013 and hated it so decided not to do it this time around. Although that truck was a whole different setup, so who knows what I'll do in the future.

Nags truck is pre 2018 so I believe the TCM is slightly different compare to 2020+ , I have ipt, at wot it's awesome, feels like a double clutch, in city 1-2 can be harsh at times, best I can describe is liked earlier SMG in BMW's, it behaves differently based on throttle input, I can make it relatively smooth but it still feels like it go bangs thru, in 4hi and 4lo you don't feel the harsh shifting.

That is what I was worried about with the 1st and 2nd gear, not sure if it is tunable. Someone mentioned IPT has a solution for it not sure what that is. Also curious if it is tunable.

Edit: You got all the goodies on your truck!

From what I can tell, yes you can tune it via HP tuner etc, you can control line pressure when shifting, the other way is change the springs in the solenoid, which requires the pan coming off.

Would be awesome if someone or a tuner can offer remote tuning with HP tuner.

ProSpeed is currently remote tuning mine via HP Tuners and the next step we're doing is to tune the shifting.

On my truck at least... The 1-2 shift is definitely noticeable with the VB but I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker or anything. It's slightly rougher, for sure... But, for me at least, I'm in a supercharged Tundra with exhaust, and fuel system, and the whole deal, so I'm not expecting the feel of a 2022 Cadillac or anything. It certainly isn't bad though. I am curious to see how it is once we're finally done tuning everything.

Time to give them a shout soon, is this via dyno or on road remote tuning?

They seem to prefer on road tuning. They said when that's all wrapped up we can do some Dyno runs and log them and they'll take a look but that it's really not necessary.

Whatever this forum told me to do
Preface - I'm not bitchin' or doubting anything...I'm just a tad confused.

I need some education on this...please be kind.

this gent is running a 65mm pulley getting 10psi @Rcsb2012
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/2012-rcsb-12-69-113.106043/

    awesome numbers & results!!

    I have a 80mm pulley & I get 9psi.

can one of you fine stewards explain the airflow necessary to achieve this? My figgers tell me a 65mm pulley should be pushing ~14psi.

is it because of the flow of the intake?

my assumption is everything below the blower is stock.

With my 80mm my boost typically peaks at 8psi. Granted my gauge only reads whole numbers but watching it through a pull it’s in the 7s most of the rev range, might just kiss 8 for a split second at the top. My shift points are also 6000rpm, if his are higher through his tune like 6500 for example that could make a difference in peak boost. He also didn’t mention if he had headers which would drop the boost pressure.

edit: also some boost readings from DAP testing of different pulleys.
