    A bunch
As stated in Bergman's post in that thread it is just jumping the relay, not jumping the fuse. So the OEM fuse is still protecting the circuit, just now the circuit is not waiting for accessory or ignition at the key to be activated, it is active at all times.

Yep what he said! I’ve been running a similar setup in my tacoma for years now, trouble free. The only difference being I opened the relay and soldered the connection closed versus a wire jumper.

Good looking Bug! I had a 73 that was passed down to me from my dad. They’re quirky cars but fun to drive.

They are. I was in a group of friends in the 90’s and we would pick up mid-60’s bugs that had been pretty abused for a couple hundred and tear them down and put them back together. Still fun. Not as cheap any more… but nothing is.

The emblem and TSS sensor get swapped over to the new grill.

That was true- but no longer.

I got my parts through Sparks. Like Tundra234, I thought I could remove my sensor cover and install it on the new grill. Not so.

In late 2020, they changed the sensor cover mount, and it is quite different. It fastens with spring clips and a screw now. Prior to the change, it fastened with retention washers that are pressed onto the cover’s plastic posts. The design change is an improvement, but requires you to purchase the new cover, which adds about $200 to the cost.

Sparks now only sells the newer grill assembly.

I had some back and forth emails trying to plead my case, and a very patient Sparks worker set me straight, explained, and sent pictures.

The actual sensor still mates right up with no modification, and works perfectly. (I used radar cruise this morning in heavy traffic and everything was great.)

I followed Robmotive’s YouTube video and the swap out was a breeze. No broken clips, no difficulty. Great opportunity to clean the filth and grime out of the grill area, too.

@panicman Are the parts listed below the same that you purchased, beside the color?

I forgot about that. Mine is a 2020 so mine moved over with no issues. Now to get the new part number grill, some of the 18 and 19's require the emblem. Sparks can verify what you need by your VIN.

Replaced the original worn out leather on the ol' Rock Warrior Tomahawk shifter. Went way smoother than I was expecting.

Thanks!! Yeah, I fully expected it to curl up as I was pushing it down, but I used spray adhesive first and it held together well!!

I cut two relief cuts on each side so it wouldn't bunch up when folded down and then glued it down. Worked out pretty well.

Cleaned the corrosion off both battery terminals. Bought the truck brand new in December 2020. Crazy how bad they were. I’m guessing low quality terminals and/or factory battery? Photo is post service.

Check the distilled water level in the battery. Might be overfilled. I believe that could cause it.

Removed factory installed steps and installed RB20’s today! Look great and will hopefully protect from people that don’t care about hitting your truck. Wanted sliders but use my 4runner for trails so couldn’t justify the cost for my truck. Overall happy!
