Old solar panel mounted and fire extinguisher mount. Not sure if this needs to be out of the weather; we’ll see how it holds up

Picked up this guy today. The old lady came with me and wasn’t too impressed when she found out what the “surprise” was. “Don’t you already have enough lights?..” :stirthepot::stirthepot:

Hahah now we’re talking. Might as well get a little crazy and put some prisms in there..

I’ll have to check it out at night and see what the deal is. That side of the box is pretty shiny so it might bounce right back into my eyes. Could relocate the light but more than likely will leave it and just add some Matt geckos or something like that

How do you like the Yakima rails on your TCUSA cover? Are they rated for a RTT?

And what front bumper is that?

    Dig the build.

I like the Yakima rails on the cover but their purpose kinda got defeated by the toolbox. The toolbox is still slightly proud of the top of the Yakima crossbar, so I had to figure out different ways of mounting things. For instance, skis had to have the tips facing the tailgate in order to have the rears clear the toolbox and snowboards mounted bindings/tips up.

Not sure if they’re rated for a RTT. I will say that I’ve seen many people drive around with sketchier looking setups and they seem to be fine. I originally was going to mount my rack to the rails but after speaking with a couple people on here decided to not stack load tolerances and bolted it to the bedside using the funky looking floating brackets to separate the loads. Looking back on it, I probably should have just bolted the rack right to the Yakima rails. It would have been fine.

And that’s the Demello bumper. Stout and after seeing what Cruzer does to his, not too worried about it

Do you think the motor for the weboost will hold up when erect and vehicles in use?

Motor is a diamond k9000. I thought about having the weboost raise from tailgate towards hood, but figured the plastic gears might strip from hard accelerations/stops. So I spun it 90 degrees so that the stress is reduced on the gears and mostly on the bolt holding the antenna mount to the motor housing and housing itself (based off my high school/college physics proficiency). Time will tell. I’ll be sure to keep people posted

Working on the suspension now. Icons lost 1inch up front after rxt pack install. Removed a leaf to see if that resolves the issue.

After consulting with @Wallygator I decided to redo my PV wiring and tied the rack solar panel into this new PV input using one of the legs in the 16/4 that goes to the rack. Was able to reuse the old fridge Anderson connector and wiring for a lot of this. Plan is to put Anderson connectors on the old PV wires and use them as extension cords should I ever want to run a portable panel at a campsite.

Paging @RainMan_PNW and @Terndrerrr. Was driving home last night and Nils from TC USA drove by in his gladiator and I noticed he had a Yakima rack in the back. Thought to myself “hmm, that doesn’t seem right” and dropped by there today before lunch. Turns out they have a new HD rail system (not like my old Yakima rails) that works with the Yakima overhaul HD rack (and I assume outpost, too). Has a skirt that goes around the landing pad area and looks really nice. Sorry, forgot to grab a photo of it on the gladiator. Give them a call if you’re interested. I can also go back and grab a photo if you need me to. It still sits above (ie, not built in like retrax) but better than nothing. I asked about creating rails like retrax and they said no plans.

while I was there the nice ladies gave this to me for free since my old one snapped off
