Anyone having issues with their headliner/roof sagging and not holding tight on tundras equipped with the pano roof. Mine pops out almost immediately. Looks like it’s held with shitty Velcro.

Can you post a pic of what it’s doing? I also have a pano roof but haven’t noticed sagging

A pic really won’t show you much unfortunately I just know you can push up on the headliner and you’ll hear a click of sorts but then you’ll hear it pop out and it lose if you push on the area where the controls for the pano roof is

It’s fuckin annoying for a 70k truck… held together by max 4 less then 1 inch velcro sections. I’m gonna try double side 3m tape see if that helps

Thanks for posting a pic. My guess is that mine is the same way but I’ll check. I’m curious to see how the headliner is attached. I hope it’s not just with Velcro!

It’s that hard Velcro maybe 3/4 an inch spread out about every 7-8 inches

Issues with the moon roofs seem to be getting more common. Saw a couple other posts about people having water leak in to the cab due to a faulty pan.

Hopefully you can get it fixed up

    At least it's not leaking!

I’ve had this same issue on my 1794. dealer knows about it and reported it to Toyota Canada. Toyota Canada asked for some pictures and a video. It looks like it is a Velcro problem. Next visit I’m bringing the good stuff another member talked about above. The tech is a buddy so I’ll just get him to use my stuff instead of replacing the crappy Velcro with more crappy Velcro.

My issue isn't the velcro visibly sagging.. it's the noise it makes when I go over minor bumps. It crackles and pops and is driving me nuts. I took it to the dealer and they verified it, but no fix as of now. Can I just ask them to replace the headliner?

On my 08 I used invisible seam like a tailor used. Most of those double sticks are to thick.
I also used liquid fabric glue but it leaves a water dot.

You really don't want that. If you think what you have now is annoying, wait until a toyota tech has to replace an entire headliner.

Any recommendations? The noise is louder than any rattle in the interior (front doors, dash, center console). There's gotta be a fix.

I hear what you hear but only once in a while over a bump or something. But not constant

The roads in my town might be some of the worst in the country. When I'm on well maintained roads, I don't hear it. When I'm on the other 90% of roads, I hear it. It might be something I'll have to live with.

I had this issue on my 2018. I started early morning, added a helluva lot more double sided velcro (Gorilla brand) around the entire perimeter of the moonroof, and kept it open the entire day using clamps to allow the adhesive maximum time to set and hold. It's been about a year and it has not fallen again, and, no more squeaking noises near the rear dome light housing.

How do you pull the headliner off without damaging it? Mine is driving me nuts, I’m thinking of adding a thicker double sided foam to dampen the shakes

No waiting for the Toyota engineer to come through so they can look at it. Dealer said some time after new years. It seems like it would be a simple fix for the dealership, just need to add padding/stronger velcro. But I don't think I can do it myself without damaging something.
