I'm running full sythetic valvoline "squeeze pouches" 75w90 in all my diffs and TC. Though to be fair I'm almost certain I don't have the LSD. No issues at all for me.

Why not just pick up some additive & dump it in before you go tossing out the new fluid?

What Does a Limited-Slip Additive Do? - AMSOIL Blog
However, depending on the differential’s friction material and degree of clutch wear, chatter can still sometimes occur. The addition of AMSOIL Slip Lock will eliminate chatter in mechanically sound differentials.

I was always taught you shouldn't put additives into lubricants with a lubricant additive package already included. "It's not wise to double-up on lubricants..."

I wouldn't do it without the blessing of someone who was a hell of a lot more familiar with lubricants than I am.

Mobil1's "LS" lubricants already have an additive package rolled in.

I mean, from my side, I'm happy to just drop $70-80 and 20 minutes on a fluid that won't chatter, then not think about it again.

But if you hear something interesting, I'm curious. I know Redline and others sell (specifically) slip-only friction modifier package.

$115 to renew registration for the car and truck. I love going into the clerks office right after they open. In, and out. Inside less than 3 minutes.

Guy finished up my timing belt/water pump/etc. job. He was trying to diagnose why the passenger inner CV axle boot is slangin’ grease like an abuelita making tacos dorados and couldn’t find any tears or loose clamp or anything. Any thoughts?

    23B35D03-6AD9-4E9A-AEF2-6EFB97E93D63.jpg

He also noted a click coming from the driver side inner tie rod so he’s going to do all 4 when he does the LBJs. Pics of TRE and lower ball joints below.

Working on replacing my Flowmaster, it was fun while it lasted.
While getting parts at my go to Toyota parts guy in Jackson, TN, he looked up my 04 Cats. There are 20 ea driver side available in the system around the Country. There is not a single Passenger side 04 available.
Will be looking at MagnaFlow 24406 as a replacement if I decide to replace passenger.
Anyone know much about aftermarket Cats such as Magnaflow ?

WOW, I ordered that same one from scAmazon in 2018 for $195. It been problem free for 5 years but I just recently got a P0430 code (in addition to an intermittent P0420 I've been getting for the last 2 years) so I'm about to replace both downstream O2 sensors before I pass judgement on this Magnaflow cat.

Cams will happen. Just not sure if they’re going in this engine, or my “rev2” I’ve got a really clean set of heads just waiting for port work and all… I’ll likely be putting another together to try and reach for 400hp

Can't say anything with direct experience, just that we haven't yet heard about Magnaflow, Walker, or the Summit Racing store brand cats throwing a code. Other brands, yes. I looked thru Walker's stuff and they're supposed to make a direct-fit part, but trying to make heads or tails of what should go on my truck specifically was a pain in the ass.

Over here, we just walk into the grocery store and use a digital kiosk to renew. Takes about 2 minutes. But you need to go to an emissions test place 48-72 hours in advance and pass or it won't let you.
