So looks like these caliraised amber pods come w Deutsch male connectors.

    image.jpg

I could supply some extras for someone to splice back in, or some terminals and connectors if anyone wants to attempt to restore the cut ends to factory fresh.

Still have no idea how to help w any external switching setup other than doing a relay and a long coil of wire which isn’t all that useful nor universal.

Going clear on the bumper as well?

Just a FYI those back tails are going to want to kick up on you when when you go to install. Might end up with a couple scratches on the plastic below the headlight like I did

I wish - but I think my wife would try to have the kids taken away. I’m coarse sanding this and the sliders and going to spray them with black Steel-it.

@AZBoatHauler not sure if you have a stubby wrench set but you’ll need it if planning to do the support brackets. I believe it’s 19mm will check when I get home

I’m guessing you need it for the long bolt on the inside of the frame rail? I have an SAE set from doing the sliders that might work.

See... I want something that I can hard mount into the truck that stays IN the truck that also works with that shit.

What do I need to look for?

Also, I'd probably have one of those plugged in, turned off, in the even of getting separated and the truck breaking down. I realize that best chances of survival are staying with the truck, but still in the off chance of self rescue... be nice to have a radio that's portable too.

I just want to mount something in my truck I don't fucking need. I really need to figure out trailer brake shit but I just don't have the wind in my sails for that right now

I put one very similar to this in the console -
BTECH Mobile UV-50X2 (Second Gen.) 50 Watt Dual Band Base, Mobile Radio: VHF, UHF Amateur (Ham) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XK83VRV

configuring an antenna and running the wire for it are the biggest pain about going this route but reception / transmission is wayyyy better than a handheld.

Sure - it will talk to anything that can receive / transmit on those frequencies.

Mine is only 25 watts but with a decent antenna I can hit repeaters that are a little over 20 miles away. That is near ideal conditions though from the foothills down to the valley.
