We're SO CLOSE! We're borrowing this white Tundra this coming Tuesday hopefully, to do final fitments and retooling, then we can start actual production! I'm honestly not sure who's more excited. All of you guys or our owner/CEO Darin Evans

Last I heard, we will NOT be producing them. We work VERY closely with a company that specializes in smaller exterior parts, and they injection mold them (we vacuum form). We didn't want to risk harming our relationship with them by making door handle covers because we assumed that they would be doing it. I'll reach out today and see if they're working on R&D for them. If they are, we will 110% carry them on Chrome Stoppers

You should be able to just use the color dropdown menu on ChromeStoppers.com however the drop down not working has been an issue for some, which has usually been a web browser issue. Regardless, I am able to make a quick link that chooses Wind Chill Pearl so all you have to do is click here.

 

Any updates?

 

We have a forum member coming in tomorrow. I'm setting him up with WiFi so he can 'work from "home"' and we'll have his truck for at least 4 hours. We'll be spending every second we can with it.

On the slate for when we have it?:

• Finalize fitment
• Ensure cuts are correct
• Adjust CNC programming as needed
• AND a special photo session where you (and all together forum members) get to provide feedback on a NEW STYLE we are thinking about debuting. We encourage criticism, so ROAST US! We can take it. There will be rules for the roast though... like don't comment on the truck itself.

Then Wednesday we have ANOTHER forum member coming over and we'll make sure everything is perfected and ready for shipment. We are looking at a SLIGHT delay in projected shipment times, but nothing that would make me want to send out a mass email.

Between the two members we have coming in right now and the other non-Toyota trucks we have to make parts for to, you know, stay in business... we're looking pretty good, but I'm sending you a message because we'd be happy to install it for you, if you wanted.

 

We got a lot done on the Tundra today. Here's one side of the bottom portion of the mustache in ABS Paintable plastic. This is the material we use for our painted parts, so it doesn't look great, obviously.

We anticipate putting the 3M tape on the final product in the red tape areas.

As the social media guy, I'm a little disconnected from the R&D department, but if I had to guess, we are about a week behind on when we will start shipping out. So we expect to start shipping the first full week on June. We want to make sure that this product is not only PERFECT but will work with the foglamp bar you all are so amped up about.

I should have more information in the middle of next week.

UPDATE: I got good news and bad news...

GOOD NEWS:
We finished the test fitting and we're going to start running the parts through our CNC machine very soon!

BAD NEWS:
This means will are absolutely missing our shipping deadline of "end of May" for shipment of stock colors. Everything is getting pushed out about a 1-1.5 weeks.


We hate that it had to be this way, but we wanted to make sure we sent out a quality product that looks good and hides all that chrome!

 

I'd assume the "special" colors also got pushed back?

 

Guess they won’t be here for my Birthday next week. Oh well.

Unfortunately, yes. But if you ordered before May 24, they aren't pushed back very far.

Lucky for you, MGM isn't considered a special color. We have material that is already that color. If you ordered before May 24th, your product should already have been run. We just need to cut it out with the CNC program we adjusted yesterday evening.

 

Ordered 4/11 so definitely before May 24.

What I meant was there was a coding issue on the website that prevented Canadians from being able to check out and it was a up until the shipping address needed to be input, but it's fixed now.

Neither can we! It's going to be a rough mind melting couple of days editing videos, but it'll be worth it!!

 

When do you plan on releasing the videos?

 

We shoot tomorrow, I'll probably get a little editing done same day and I'm hoping to have it released on Thursday. We'll begin shipping stock colors (Gloss blk, matte black, ice cap, textured tpo, paintables, attitude black, MGM) tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday.

 

Any chance on making color matching door handles?

 

Unfortunately, it's incredibly doubtful.
