    Anyone have any experience with the Cali Raised LED OEM Square Switch that goes in the 3rd gen Tundras? I have a Diode Dynamics 18" lightbar in the grille with their easy connect relay setup. Ran the 3 wire (blue, white, black) through the firewall and had the Diode Dynamics own switch that came in the pack and worked fine (toggle switch that powers the bar and flips a little red LED inside the switch on when the bar is on).

    Ordered the Cali Raised switch because I am always trying to keep it looking OEM. Connected the switch per their own schematics (see pictures). The mechanical part of the switch works fine and turns the lightbar on and off as expected. Backlight for the icon (tapped into one of the other switch wires for illumination) works as expected with headlights. The problem is the bright blue LED indicator light is always on no matter what I do. Whether the truck is on or off, regardless of headlight status, no matter what, the darn thing wont turn off. For now I have the switch disconnected so it doesn't drain my battery all night.

    Can anyone possibly help me troubleshoot? I'm desperate to be done with this part of my modding. Thanks for any help you have!CH4X4-TOY-C-WIRING.jpg IMG_2046.jpg

    Yeah. I wired white and black together on one end and connected to black (ground) from the relay. Wouldn't the light not even work if it isn't grounded?

    yep you’re right. You have a bad switch. The one I got was $5 with coupon and looks and works great FYI. Took 6 days to get.

    bummer... I contacted cali raised and they said the same thing so they sent me another switch mechanism which did the same thing so I thought maybe it was my wiring job... Maybe they got a bad batch or something?

    Yeah that’s strange, it must be. You would have more issues if that wasn’t the case.

    Yes! Their attachments in their own diagram are wrong.

    the correct sequence is:
    Black to black
    White to black
    Green to blue
    Red to white

    AND
    Yellow t-tapped into another switch for the icon backlight

    They have the two bolded ones reversed in their directions. Had it wired like this for a few weeks and working perfectly.

    I’m about to do this exact same setup. What colour wire did you have to tap into with the yellow?

    I ended up tapping into the orangish/brownish wire from one of the switches right next to my blank. It's the illumination wire and works perfectly EXCEPT someone pointed out that it doesn't dim when the rest of the dash lights are dimmed. If someone knows of another wire that would work more in line with the OEM switches, feel free to chime in. Otherwise, if the dimming isn't a must have, that wire does everything else perfectly. Not really sure why it doesn't dim like the others, whether its a resistor that's not built into the switch or whether its not the best wire for the job *shrug*

    Did you notice if the dimmer switch has a similar coloured wire coming out of it? I wonder if tying into the dimmer itself would work.

    Not a bad idea. I might just switch it if someone confirms it works better. For now, I'm pausing work with such tiny wires until I need my next accessory hooked up. Let me know how it works out!

    I bought the Diode Dynamics ditch lights and the CaliRaised OEM switch and am having some trouble wiring it up. The ditch lights do have the back like feature which I don’t really care for. Anyone have an idea which ones to wire up? Wire in my hand are from the switch

    Weird that DD changed their wire colors.
    I would try a combo of the fix quoted above swapping out the red and yellow wires for the white and black. Hope that makes sense.

    OR reach out to DD and just ask which wire is the ground and the rest falls into place by process of elimination.

    So diode dynamics states :

    Red = power in
    Blue = back light
    Yellow = main beam

    this is so confusing for someone not electrically inclined at all….

    Seeing this and no mention of ground makes me wonder if the ditch lights didn’t come with a relay and their own switch? Do you have the lights grounded to the frame somewhere else? It can get pretty confusing I agree. I am not an electrical engineer by any means either.

    This video was kind of helpful for me to wrap my head around some of the wiring nuances:

    Another thought I just had: the switch is an electrical device with its own led light. Without a relay, you run the risk of frying the switch I think. It also needs to be grounded. You can probably take the white and black wires on the switch and ground them with ring terminals to an unpainted screw down there (there are a few to choose from). After that, red to red and green to whichever function you want the switch to turn on.

    I think to have the functions individually (back light and main beam), you need a double throw switch. Maybe you can connect both the blue and yellow wires to the green and just have everything turn on together too. But do so at your own risk if there is no relay involved since it could mess up the fancy switch.

    I’ll repeat that I am not an electrical engineer so this is my possible troubleshoot…

    Still doing research but I bought the LASFIT ditch lights and harness. The wiring colors are different that DD but what I ended up with, before I quit, with the Cali ditch light switch is the white wire left over and assume that will have to be tapped into the "tan" or yellowish wire from an unused harness-I guess. Trying to figure out how to tap into the wire or can I just cut the wire from the unused harness????? currently have no light that stays on but lights up when I turn the lights on and off when I turn it off. I played with it but that's the only configuration that I could make work except for the backlight. Anyone else use this combo?? I would like everything to work as intended but could live without the backlight.

    Yeah that is no issue.
    Hate to rehash this but I guess I just don't get cause I obviously have it wired wrong. Currently I have LASFIT Ditch lights: Harness coming are Red (power?), Black (ground), yellow. Cali switch is Red, White, Yellow, Black, Green.

    Switch Harness
    Red Red
    Black Black
    Green Yellow
    White taps into tan/orange wire on existing harness ????
    Yellow Red

    This what I have now and lights work and light on switch work but when connect white to tan wire of another harness the light comes on and stays on.

    Should it be
    Red Green
    White/Black Black
    Green Red
    Yellow tap into tan/orangish wire on existing harness

    Yes I am confused. Just want it to work the way it supposed to. I reached out to Cali-no help. Anything anyone can provide would be appreciated.

    Lights, tires,
    If you are running this cali raised switch with the 4pin wire harness you can't use the backight with it so the blue wire is not used and as far as I've been told and seen you ground to the truck or tap into a ground in that area as that harness has no ground wire in the supplied wires coming into the oem switch panel

    Yeah I figured it out the other day and posted on another thread:
    So referencing the Ditch Lights wiring questions that I had (above)I finally figured it out this morning:
    I have Lasfit ditch lights and their harness-color schemes on other lights are different color code but should be able to adapt from the below

    Cali Switch wires/Lasfit Harness wires
    Red Yellow
    White Black
    Black Black
    Green Red (fused)
    Yellow Tan wire from unused harness

    The Cali Raised switch diagram on their site is incorrect as someone earlier had reported.
    Works great and hope it helps someone else

    Thank you!!!!!! Finally got my light switches working properly with my dash lights.

    Black & white = Black
    Green = Blue
    Red = White
    Yellow tapped to another switch power cable!

    Not sure if anyone else has this issue-about every 5th push to turn on the switch goes dark. Press it again and works again. Weird.

    Same Cali switch but Auxbeam lights with 1 red, 1 black, and 1 yellow. How would mine wire up?
    Thanks
