Rumor is the remediation/environmental clean up bill to build over the track was more than the tribe wanted to pay so the tracks are staying for now. The drag boat association said they were able to book this year’s race and two races for 2024.

Mrs.WBW and I are trying to get to Firebird for the races one day that weekend. Hopefully we'll get a good crew turnout.

 

Congrats on the tickets... We saw the All Star game in 2011 there, and it was HAF (10 degree bump from what we had in vegas at the time). Great stadium and had a blast, but we had to buy a package to get the tickets; so we ended up w/tickets to 8 other regular season games we had to dump off.

I think we stayed at the Residence Inn (short but brutal walk to the stadium)...

The girls in there were awesome... We sit down and we're given some water in mason jars.

I order my meal, and our waitress asked, 'do you want gravy w/that??'

I replied, 'Uhhh, not sure.. do I??'

Her reply, 'Oh sweetie, you're not from around here are you? Let me tell you, the correct answer is YES'..

My reply... ''

Followed by my next question... "Can I get bacon w/that?'

Her response, 'Ok, I think we can get along'

 

Hahah so there’s a local military surplus here, not sure if she works there any more, but this lady at the register would get; sweety, honey, sugar, darlin, pumpkin into one sentence, and every sentence. It was super distracting, like are you talking to me? We’re not at a diner, your still not getting a tip.
