Mamba. Is your diff open or LSD? Did your fill plug have a crush washer or not? What gear oil did you use? Also suspect if you fill it on lift with wheels hanging and then put it on wheels the diff will tilt slightly and the fluid level be a tad low.

Ah ha! I need this and had no idea what to call it nor which part it was. Been putting up with rear doors closing on their own long enough.

Thank you for your concern. No, no LSD. Yes, I replaced the crush washer (good memory). Idemitsu SAE75W-90. I suspect you may be correct about the axle sag, however I've only ever done it on a lift and I've done it this way since 2006.

I love the smell of Frigiclean. I need to get another case, I'd use it in both the Tundra and the Highlander 2-3 times a year if I had it laying around.

That’s a good point you bring up. I did, they actually come with the timing belt kit if you order it from Rockauto which is who I ordered my kit from. They were excellent to deal with.

That’s what I call getting it done! Not to shabby of a garage you working out of either. I noticed in the one pic you even have a Patrick rim for the spare.

Helped dad bleed his rear brakes to get the air out…..and while he was down there I asked if he could roll over and bleed my rears as well.

Any improvement felt by the butt dyno after using this? 1st hearing of this and seems to have good reviews. Anything to worry about when using this?

Bad contact spot where the sender slides across. Sender is integrated into the pump housing. Few different members have reported the same in the past. Only fix really is to replace the pump, or service the sender, but it’s not really a “serviceable part” per se.

no Mods... has new headlights and some dings on the side... just purchased a dent puller and Bilstein 5100's for it..... absolutely love it in the 2 weeks I've owned it...
Started the new thread.... got it repaired and posted a pic of bolt.... ended up taping the pan - couldn't start new bolt with fingers... super snug now!! ;-)

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
I cleared my 0430 again. Throwing up my freeze frame for any insight. Info: all 4 O2s new less than a year - proper Denso. Moderate to mild pass exhaust mnfld leak ticky tick tick. Other than the cats being original 23yr old oem... can't think of anything else to add.
Wish this thing would capture O2 readings in freeze frame.

The shop is great. Nicest one I’ve ever worked at. Sam Pack spares no expense. Good eye on the spare. Starfish 4 Life :D

This is a crankcase cleaning. It aids in removing gunk built up in corners and passages. I do this about once a year. As far as any noticeable difference in power, no. It could be because I maintain the shit out of my truck so therefore she doesn’t get to the point of loss due to sludge and grime. It’s pretty simple stuff. Pour it in prior to the oil change. Bring the vehicle up to operating temperature and run for about 10 minutes fluctuating the throttle between idle and 2k. Then drain, replace filter and add new oil.

I have problems with mine too. When I fill up, it takes a few minutes for the guage to work its way up to full. No dips like y'alls, just slow.

Ordered struts and rear shocks as well as got in a set of Timbrens to install when the suspension shows up. Does that count? Lol

Am I the only person who, after the dirty oil pretty much stops draining, adds a skosh of clean oil to the fill & waits for it to run out of the drain?
Guess it doesn't do much beside calm OCD tendencies, but I just want that last dirty oil out of the pan.

New mod fellers. . Looks a bit ghetto due to different temp color LEDs.

I had some switchback bulbs that I took out of my Ford just sitting in the box. 7443 bulbs amber and white. I ordered some 7443 pigtails from scAmazon and they arrived today. I decided to replace my 7440 rear turn signals with the 7443 bulbs. I tied the white led pigtail leg to my reverse bulb socket so now I have dual reverse lights and these bulbs have little bit brighter amber LEDs. If y'all wanna do this mod I suggest getting the 921 reverse and 7443 switchback bulbs from the same manufcaturer so they will color match better. Anyways here the pic. I'll check it out once it's dark to see if it makes a difference.

Passenger side still has stock setup. I'll modify tomorrow.

Did a coolant flush yesterday, has never been drained since I had an emergency aftermarket radiator installed at the quick lube around 7-8 years ago. (Rad cracked on the way home from gym, had to park it at the nearest shop and leave it until they opened ) I had been topping off with green “all vehicles” fluid but it drained out some weird ugly orange color, so I’m not sure what color they had put in at the quick lube. It was still clean and translucent though.

I could only get around 6 qt out of the rad no matter which way I inclined the truck. 11 qts when draining from the block plugs as well. No idea if they’ve ever been turned but both plugs came loose no problem. 4” extension to reach them. I didn’t have 1/4” tube on hand so I just let it run down over the frame, no big deal.

Ran some coolant cleaner, flushed three times with a total of ~7 gals of water. Filled back up with PEAK OET pink for Toyotas. Expected to be done by lunch and the damn project took until 3pm.

Up next…more fluids. Trans, LSD, power steering, brake.

Was it yellowish/orange like you see here and here? If so, that's what happens when you use the wrong coolant (precipitate) and/or mix coolants (precipitate/color/maybe reaction).

When left unaddressed, you get this.

That sludge is just the worst-case situation, what happens if you don't act on it. The person who had Noah's truck prior really wasn't very smart/basically skilled.

Squatted with just the slide deck. Good thing the new bumpstops and suspension will be here before sledding.
