    Hi all,

New member here. Just bought my 2012 Tundra CrewMax and it has an older headunit that I'd like to change out to get CarPlay etc.

Can anyone help me with understanding if what I currently have is factory? It is NSCD-W12U-B. It has navigation and a backup camera. I'm not sure if either of those were factory or added by the previous owner.

I'd like to get a plug and play system that still allows me to use my steering wheel controls. When inputting my truck details into crutch field, it doesn't really match up with "what headunit do you have?"

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Coveyrise, I replaced the same unit you have with the Joying 10.1 unit. Joying provided excellent support and we developed a new harness for this model designated F on this site.
    https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-2...inch-ips-screen-android-car-audio-system.html
I found a OEM GPS antenna adaptor: HFC-SMA factory GPS antenna retention cable tor Toyota at https://www.discountcarstereo.com/
I got an adapter for the OEM USB connector: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BCH4SRD?ie=UTF8
I got a dash insert for the other 2 USB ports - which did not fit without modification: https://www.ebay.com/itm/125948727228
The OEM microphone is not compatible, so I made a holder that fits in the coin holder spot.
I use this Wi-Fi OBD2 adaptor and OBD Fusion to create a gauge screen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WPW6BAE?ie=UTF8
The Wi-Fi OBD stays powered all the time so I have to unplug it.
I'm working on a youtube video showing this install. I'll put a link here when it's finished.

Nice install and review. I did not use the factory side mount brackets on mine. I am relying on the four clips (two top, two bottom) to hold the radio in and I don't have a gap along the top. It could be that the bracket is holding the radio from pushing in at the very top.

I suspect the factory brackets are holding it away at the top. Its very solid though and I can't normally see the gap, so I'll live with it. Maybe that will help with units cooling in the AZ summers.

This might not be the right spot, but I couldn’t find any other threads that I thought was a better place to post it.For those that don’t want to spend the money on the head unit I found this. For the price you can’t beat it with a stick.69 Dollars with a 25%off coupon to make it close to 50 bucks. I’ve had it for about a month and it’s been working good, comes with sticky mount(that I had stuck on the front of the stock radio, but was afraid it wouldn’t hold )or a mount to stick on top of the dash(but you would have to glue it) I opted for buying a cup holder mount.
