Mrs. Claus and I did this last year; therefore we can sign off on this petition after having experienced the joy it brings first hand...

PS>>> and, just of the record, after a long night gift giving and chimney stuffing on Christmas morning; the North Pole Mafia (Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Elves, and our lovely Reindeer) all sat down and enjoyed a hearty breakfast consisting of Chicken and Waffles w/a side of slab bacon :santa2:

PPS>>> A huge shout out to our southern Canadian friends for providing enough pure Canadian Maple Syrup to keep us all sugar happy :canada:

Ham is the superior traditional holiday meat when compared to turkey. I have nothing against making brisket the official holiday meat though.

I smoked a turkey this Thanksgiving. The smoke flavor was good, the turkey...not so much. Me no like turkey.

    Consider this petition signed.

Smoke the turkey. Way less work than a brisket.

I don't think meat should be farmed and provided to the masses.
Thanksgiving dinner should be whatever you or someone in your family can kill.
Could be anything from elk to squirrel.
It would definitely cut down on obesity and more importantly, the population problem.

Please stop killing helpless animals and enjoy a plant based holiday. You’ll feel better and the animals will too. God bless

Well now I’m killing and eating EXTRA animals for Thanksgiving. Maybe next time you’ll consider the consequences of your actions.

Speaking from personal experience of being a vegetarian for 7 years, I started eating fish, then chicken and then beef. I love my meats and cant believe I was so stupid. You do know carrots cry when you pull them out of the ground.

The last turkey I did smoke. Didn't brine it, but injected with marinade before resting overnight and once again mid-smoke. It turned out pretty good (for turkey) and wasn't dry. I just don't care for turkey for whatever reason. I'd go chicken before turkey. Naturally, pork and beef are at the top of the list.

And for Dr. Zoidberg, a lobster tail beside that slab of beef would be tasty too!
